There's a lot of pressure on Robin's now. He seems to have fast tracked to berating the team as cowards and having no clue at all what his best 11 is.
Tbh he probably needs some time out. Not sure it's doing him any good at all.

I feel desperately sorry for him. It seemed like such a good fit but they have been dreadful for 2/3rds of the season now. When the manager starts blaming the players ( see also Rosenior) you know the end is near.

I think you are right - take some timeout and then come back to a “project” where he has more say on the culture and structure of the club. Stoke is just a managers graveyard so something must be fundamentally wrong there.

He should pick up another project team in L1/2

Stoke is a horrible club now, no identity and have the "old boys" like Walters running things. Robins has had a really poor time of it since the turn of the year and I can't see him being there next season.

Wrexham player literally pulled the shirt off an Oxford player last night, in the penalty area. Nothing given of course.

Most of his management career has been average at best. Oddly the only two clubs he has really achieved anything with - us and Rotherham - had ground shares and problem owners

Get some money on him being at Sheff Wed next season then.

Assuming you take King's word about what happened behind the scenes then it sounds, to me at least, like he needed a long break after he got the sack here. The Stoke job came up too soon.

I'm not sure anyone's a good fit for Stoke.

Bit of a basket case, generally impatient owners, labouring under the impression that they're a 'big' club.

I was surprised he went for it, tbh. It strikes me as a poisoned chalice.

Leicester absolutely should’ve hired him with the championship in mind when we sacked him. Would’ve been better than what they ended up with.

Strong similarites with Wout Faes.

If the numbers posted today about Leicester’s wage bill are even half accurate, I’d be furious with my agent if I was Faes. He signed right at the height of Leicester’s stupid PL spending spree and yet somehow ended up with wages a third of Winks and Daka.

Daka cost £25 million which is just wild.

I always thought the 3-1 win over Wolves to seal promotion to the top tier in 1967 was the greatest day in the history of the club. I was one of the 51,455 there. And promotion that year was an even greater achievement even than the FA cup win.

But finally it has been superceded. This is the best season in the history of the club.

The first time is ALWAYS the best TIME.

But this season with the money in football it sets the club up nicely.

....and is apparently on 75k pw.
Sadly his 5 year contract is up in the summer, because watching him has been comedy gold.
