They know that they desperately need Championship quality players, and selling clubs also know that, so they can demand silly fees.

If a club's desperate, then they'll overpay.

They've got the quality to stay up now, though, so they will say it's worth it.

Think they will rough house the opposition at their place They have some dirty sods - Cochrane, Laird, Stansfield and both centre backs take no prisoners, and Kyogo looks quality. The refs will give them more licence to dish it out at their place, and it will take a strong team to stop them. I am less convinced about them away from home, where some of their 'aggression' will get a mixed response from refs. They look better than I thought they would be.

They do look good, but 90% of their game right now is pressing like unhinged madmen out of possession, which destroys the oppositions chances of doing absolutely anything. If they can keep up those levels for the entire season, then they deserve a playoff shot. But we're 2 games deep. I would be very surprised if they can give that much of themselves every game.

And in turn, they will get "found out" and people will find away to play against them too.

Long old season yet!

I think that they have a reasonable depth to their squad - Doyle, Iwata, the other South Korean lad are all decent. They have cover at centre back (take note, Doug!) and Demari Gray looks a decent addition. They definitely have a top 6 look about them, but really hoping not, as Blues fans will be unbearable. More worryingly, I am not sure who I fancy to definitely finish above them (purely based on the number of home games that I think they may bully their way to 3 points, plus the meh start from the ex-PL teams)

Exactly. They've played a cup final against a relegated PL team and drawn, who then went on to draw to Bromley. Then an out of sorts Sheff Utd who got hammered at home to Bristol City. Lots to be happy and excited about if you're a Birmingham fan and I'd love that Kyogo playing for us, but I see a mid table team once it all settles down, I think.

I'm always wary of the teenager from the Prem loan signings. Many go on to have excellent careers but The Championship is not an easy league to just step into.

Can't speak for Birmingham but I read somewhere that Wrexham will have no issues due to all the commercial revenue coming into the club, mainly Netflix but sponsorship deals as well.

Unfortunately, I think they'll be fine.

First year of a three year rolling cycle (or something like that) - so a gamble, but it won't catch up with them for a few years.

I was listening to a podcast a while back (think it was The Athletic) that said in their last accounts, which would be the League 2 season, Wrexham had turnover of about £24m which put them about the same as us after a solid Championship season and a run to the FA Cup semi. It won't necessarily have increased that much since then but they're already on a par with us in those terms.

Good player but that’s too much.

Get ready for them to now be linked with Rudi and Haji.

Forest clearly don't think he's 'all that', selling him after 1 loan spell and 0 games played for Forest.
