Wrexham and Southampton win midweek and I reckon that’s everyone below Derby out of contention for playoffs. Can’t see Birmingham making up 10 points in 8 games.

No but they can make up How they're the biggest club in the world

I've gone into most games this season confident we'll win, but the Championship in particular is mental, and results can go anywhere.
Although we should beat them comfortably, Sheffield Wednesday have recently only been losing by the odd goal (Swansea aside), and so even that game isn't a guarantee.

With Hull still in the play off mix, if they were to go up, would they still be under the transfer embargo?

Derby, Wrexham and Hull all to play us in coming weeks. All are in and around the playoffs making them tricky opposition

Yet all teams we should be pretty confident of winning against.

I just don't get the worrying about games against teams we are better than, we may not win them all but we will win more than enough. We are 7 points clear for a reason.

They may be tricky, but like you said we have more than enough to win.

We've gone from people on here saying we could get 95+ points to worrying about us losing to those 3 all because we lost a close game to a form team.

I mostly agree but look what happened on Saturday against Southampton. We need to be at our best to get anything from them.

The mood change because we had a unfortunate defeat to a parachute team in good form. Now you got people worrying about the Sheffield Wednesday game

Yeah we played really well and if we play at that level we will win.

Swansea do not have players at the same level as Southampton. If they hadn't have given Will still the job at the start of the season they would be part of the chasing pack for us.

I think Swansea is a tough game and would be ok with a point. The way multiple posters talk about us on here though you'd think we were a relegation threatened team rather than a team thats been leading the way pretty much all season.

Our worst 8 game form over the season was 8 points.

That would basically get us there when you account for goal difference.

Just natural to be fair, I'm both very confident of winning Saturday while also got a nagging worry in the back of my mind.
The stress is getting less but it won't stop until we're mathematically confirmed as up.

We're all Coventry fans so its baked into us to a degree but i have finally just let the confidence flow, it would have to be an almighty fuck up. Even if we lose to Swans i think i'll be quite chill. If we did that and then didn't beat Derby however, i could be convinced to have a mild flap.

We are just as likely to get promoted as Burnley to get relegated.

I had this run of games from Soton to Hull down as our lowest points haul of the last 11, so priced in some non-wins. I think the head loss is from those expecting us to win every game. I had us as 4 points from 4 I think and while we’re currently tracking below that, the run after this is where I still think we’ll pick up the points that give us the title.

Point away is an ok result there

It's the worrying about Derby at home type games I just don't get.

No ones worrying based on any logical analysis, people are just worrying because they dread us blowing it, even though its unlikely to happen.
It's not going to change until we're confirmed promoted.

I hope they don't.

I think they will really spend big in the Premier.

Would fancy our chances more, head to head against Millwall than I would Wrexham.

We won't win many games if we go up, so need as many teams we can have a reasonable chance against as possible.

We lost at home to a far inferior Derby team last season. It's not a stretch to be concerned about taking 1 point from the next 3, which suddenly puts additional pressure on the last 5 games.

Personally I don't see it happening, but confidence can soon evaporate.

My only fear really now is ill-luck. Say if Wright is out for the rest of the season, or we suddenly lost Rushworth or Grimes etc.

We do have a decent squad now, but some players are just not replaceable in terms of like for like ability.

If say Saka is out, I think we can cope okay. Same if it's EMC.

Onyeka, Grimes, Wright and Rushworth, then that's a different matter.

So basically, it's only if the Gods are against us.

We should be fine otherwise.

The way some go on you’d think we’re trying to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle.
