No the accounts show nothing of the sort. It’s just click bait nonsense regarding an article that “suggests” this is a figure that is being forwarded to some European body. Their debt is funded by a ridiculous low interest rate of 2.8%

Their latest accounts are from 2024 are they not? The £129m is just projections by the media.

So what have you seen? It is well known Spurs are in financial difficulties.

Tottenham finance woes laid bare as UEFA confirm 'third biggest loss in Europe'

UEFA have published the financial results of clubs for 2025, and it's a shocking state of affairs for Tottenham Hotspur, who recorded a staggering loss despite recording the ninth-biggest revenue in Europe

I don’t get the talking down of us potentially in the premier league next season, with some shrewd business, there’s no reason we can’t cobble together 40+ points and survive, especially if another surprise team like Millwall or Hull come up with us. Some of our best players are also entering the prime of their careers, and I think will step up in performance in the PL (Rudoni, EMC, Haji, MVE etc.,) and I think stylistically we match up well with how a relegation battling team will have to play, with a manager who has seen this before and no doubt learned a lot in that time.

The CBS has not been an easy place for opposition to come under Frank, and I trust the team behind the scenes to already have one eye on potential signings in positions we need.

We’re in a far better position as a club to make a go of it now than if we’d went up in 22/23

You've seen the word loss and assumed they are in a bad position without reviewing their balance sheet.

I watched QPR vs Boro and came to the conclusion that most managers have their own style and don't analyse past performances, I don't know if it is childish ignorance or blatant stubbornness, either way they hadn't seen how we had approached the game. We didn't play them to their strength, which is midfield tussle because they would possible beat us that way, we beat them by going round or over the top. QPR just tried to match them in the middle of the park and Boro got the better of them.

It’s not too early though is it? As proven by the fact none of you can come up with a similar signing who failed to make the squad in their first month as much as him. That’s just a get out. Like the “match fitness” nonsense because he has two weeks off two and a half months ago, like the desperate “maybe the reports of the fee are out by an order of magnitude”.

Honestly nothing amuses me more on this site than the crew who argue with everything I say regardless of how stupid the arguments have to be.

It is notable that he cost a lot and can’t get in the squad. Just say it, nothing bad will happen.

He's being kept under wraps until we start in the Prem,or he's been signed like some of the recent failures supposedly as a prospect,or unthinkable to have something to do with nefarious accounting purposes?

Its just journalist speculation isnt it?

Their accounts for FY24 showed only a 24m loss on the P&L which is nothing.

Moving the goalposts?

They couldn't afford to strengthen their team. Because of this they are at risk of relegation. And as normal the same people try their best to prove me wrong when all I do is post the truth as I see it.

UEFA are not the media. But what is more shocking is the loss by Chelsea. How are they able to get away with it?

Which Boro HOODOO is worse?

Bristol or Cov ?

I love the fact that you took the time to put the word "Hoodoo" in caps.

But in truth it's a tricky one. Games against yourselves are usually against a side somewhere around us in the table, so tend to have more riding on them? So the fallout is probably more in terms of effects. This you would imagine would make us think of it as worse.

But I'm going to have to go Bristol City in general. As you've generally at least been a good side since the hoodoo began, not the cannon fodder saved for a "Typical Boro." Aside from their level for one match towards the back end of last season, Bristol City have been everywhere between middling and a complete bag of shit.

With most games against yourselves too, you usually perform out of your boots and have your best game of the season more often, so at least we can say you performed spectacularly on the day, so it took a real effort to beat us. Bristol City on the other hand have had the one of those I can recall, the others they have far more often been jammy as hell or just shithoused the match, kicking lumps out of players (while the ref seems to be doing his best impression of Mr Magoo) parking the bus all game.
We hit every upright and the bar a few times, they suddenly appear to have developed a time machine to stick Gordon Banks between the sticks, then hitting about two long balls to Riis who, instead of the usual carthorse he is for the other 44 games of the season, suddenly morphs into the John Arne version from Liverpool's past and hits an unstoppable effort into our net. Then cue more shithousery than a prison toilet block and more time wasting than Burnley last season until the final whistle blows, probably early, but let's face it we could have stayed out there until midnight and the result would be the same.

So Bristol City tend to shade it, just for the sheer frustration and knowledge that not only would another 4 nil to us have been the most fair score, but that Riis and the GK will return to being an utter pile of wank up in their very next game, which can sometimes be against a side around us we could do with them taking points off.

It looks like this pre-tax £129m loss figure is from Uefa’s European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report.

However, there's obviously zero context around it until Spurs release their 24/25 accounts which won't be until the end of the month.

I presume Premier League clubs have submit finances to UEFA for compliance purposes. Not sure why they're apparently revealing club finances before they're due for release though seems very strange.

That £24m includes player amortisation which as we know is a fairly meaningless paper figure anyway.

The P&L reveals very little.

The BS is where all the action is at when it comes to loan and real investment.

Yes I am

It’s not published accounts - which will nowhere near be completion and as I’ve said Chelsea have “lost” £350m

You have no understanding of financial accounts. Just leave it alone

It costs more to run a club than wages and transfers. We made a big loss last year without massive wages or making a big loss in the transfer market.

Our actual losses were hardly anything and totally offset by the fact the amortised value of assets were far lower than what the resale value is which is clearly something you can’t understand

I ask again. The real figures have to be given to UEFA. UEFA have reported the figures. How can you twist that?

Are you saying that the numbers quoted by UEFA are wrong? Are you saying they were left this season without being able to strengthen was for another reason?

This is getting silly now as usual. It was supposed to be media BS. Once you saw it wasn't media BS you try and muddy the waters. I'll leave it to the normal crew to pat each other on the back when everyone else can see the truth.
