That’s just a get out. Like the “match fitness” nonsense because he has two weeks off two and a half months ago, like the desperate “maybe the reports of the fee are out by an order of magnitude”.
Honestly nothing amuses me more on this site than the crew who argue with everything I say regardless of how stupid the arguments have to be.

I've just looked at their accounts, it does not show a loss of £129m anywhere. On everyday income v expenditure they are doing very nicely indeed.
Which isn’t anything to do with whether you said. You said their wages exceeded well goes against their income. They generated more income than most Pl clubs.
Chelsea as an example “lost” £350 million over the same period. Tottenham didn’t lose that in reality at all and its costs mainly are associated with the stadium which is a debt that is met by commercial revenues which are some of the biggest in the league. The squad value is also huge.
I am very excited to go up. If we do, I will bask in the glory of that for as long as we can , because next season could be a pretty grim watch and I can quickly see fans turning on Lampard if we have a bad start.Me neither, but i also get the expectation that the journey may be more fun than the destinaton.
I want us to go up, obviously, and succeed at as high a level as possible for as long as possible, but I also think that, all things considered, there probably isn't as exciting a league anywhere as the Championship.
Good quality, well supported clubs with dedicated, local fanbases, highly competitive and utterly relentless.
Will the teams playing us and the standard of football be higher? Yes. Will it be as much fun? That remains to be seen.
