I’m telling you it’s Wrexhams year for the play offs. Deadpool will offer them all a part in a movie if they do it and they’ll play out of their skins. Ipswich don’t have the juice. Can’t even beat Leicester at home. Is us, Boro and Hollywood FC.

Which annoyingly will mean they’re going after all the same type of players with silly money. But maybe we can sell them Torp for £10m or something again.

I have a feeling Wrectum beat Ipswich in the play off semis. Want Millwall to win them though, or just go up in second place.

That's just ridiculous.

We deserved to win both, but let's not pretend it didn't take excellent performances to manage it.

Like Sunderland didn't last year?

There're still a lot of points to play for, and they'll be some strange results yet. I'm not predicting anything, and certainly not writing off the club with the strongest squad in the division.

I'm starting to feel like its Boro over Ipswich personally, as well as us, of course.
I also have a feeling they'd fuck it in the play offs which would be hilarious.

The meltdown when they lose to a soft 94th min pen at Wembley
karma at its finest.

Nah, I'm not here to be loved, if that was my aim I could definitely think of a few better places. I'm also on here a good few times when we don't win too.

If that was me though, the snorkel would be red though, just saying. And I can't say I've ever beaten off over a Boro result, though the League Cup final and the UEFA semis win probably came closest.

I was once "on the nest" with a charming lady friend whilst our match day commentary happened to be on the radio in the background mind you and by sheer luck Mikkel Beck happened to blast a goal home at the perfect moment. But I've put enough walls of text on here tonight, so I'll spare you the rest of the details.

With Charlton, the Baggies and QPR after they face us I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish the season the strongest of the top 4 either tbh. If so this could feasibly get them over the line OR it could get them in good form for the playoffs.

It's all guesswork, but if we get to that stage with a cushion it would help.

Other than points on the board, ours (and Millwall's) advantage over Ipswich is the nature of the fixtures. They have more away games than home by a decent chunk, so will have to address that, plus the pile up continues with their Saints game getting moved due to Saints' Cup run too, meaning it's getting more likely that they'll have one plopped in the open midweek, right before they play us. The advantages they have are that both their head to heads are at home (and of course the eternal game in hand)

Millwall have a better ratio of Homes and aways than Ipswich, but not as good as ours. Their major disadvantages are they play a game less than Ipswich, have BOTH their head to heads away from the den amd are the only one of us NOT to play Sheff Wed.

However, like a lot of posters on here I can still see a few scenarios in which we could fu(k it up. Experience dies hard after all. We also have a Hoodoo game remaining against Bristol City (yeah, I know you lot are sceptical about THOSE) which I fully anticipate points getting dropped in! one of the main reasons I've been probably one of the most rational about your chances, even stating I didn't see your not going up during THAT run you had over winter is that I can look at your side's merits objectively, due to being less emotionally invested. I can't say that about my own team's chances though, it doesn't work like that!

Shite, I've given you another great big wall of text again! Sorry about that.

Yes of course, more than here it probably won't surprise you to know. On our own forum there's a Hull, Bournemouth and Norwich fan who are on quite a bit. Sunderland occasionally and there used to be a regular Derby poster on all the time, but she died unfortunately.

I've used to post on the Derby and Brighton ones years ago, but haven't been on for ages. I've been on the Oxford forum here and there.

My point is the general attitude to Wrexham, not pertaining to the Chelsea game per se. They've been treated throughout their Hollywood financed rise as if they are plucky little underdogs with no resources doing it against the odds, whereas the reality is that they have entirely bought their success and a budget that dwarfs their rivals. Whilst doing it, they have made a sickening TV show framing it as a fairytale. Since their arrival in this division they have helped, along with Birmingham, to drive the already exorbitant price of Championship players through the roof. Its bogus hypocritical bullshit. and you know it is.

Ipswich would happily swap places with ourselves and Middlesborough. We both have the points on the board, with us 10 points ahead and Middlesborough 5 points ahead with just 1 game in hand. Also, most of their remaining games are away.

The Ipswich v Middlesbrough game looks like a must win for Ipswich. They can't afford another slip up like last game with their draw at home to Leicester. The pressure is really on them now.

That's just the natural reaction of football supporters, especially when you're in a position you're not used to.

In the heat of the game Saturday I was stressed to the max that JDSs miss was going to come back to haunt us, when in reality, it never was, its just the,way iit gets you.

Too many people watch too many YouTube videos and use too many stats and like to suck all of the emotion out of it.

A long way to go. Most Cov fans will be on edge until we're mathematically safe.
My main concern is we still haven't been playing that well for a few months despite grinding out results. Yeah I know that's the sign of a good side but I'd like to see us click again and actually play really well for 90 mins.

Agree with this but it seems to be Lampards style. We aren’t easy on the eye or dominating teams or playing pretty football. Just extremely effective at winning game after game.

I've thought this not absolutely, but to a degree before. You're kind of like the championship version of Chelsea under Mourinho during the years when they dominated the Prem? You're perfectly capable of popping up with a "wow" performance too, such as your 7-1 in the first half of the season among others, but the second half of the season for Mourinho's 00s side was all about grinding out wins to get them over the line. It's bloody effective though and most sides need a degree of that to their game if they want to be successful.

Ipswich are a bit like the championship version of Man City on one of those seasons where they've been pipped to the title; on paper the best squad and the most strength in depth of all, but go through patches where it doesn't all click together and everyone is wary of the fact they might spring into life at any time and start demolishing opponents like their talent pool should, becoming the Man City that did triumph.

We're most akin to a championship version of Wenger's Arsenal. Can dominate a league through intricate play, the team being greater than individuals as a cohesive unit and able to move as one, full of complex fluid patterns that teams often get run circles around by. Can be absolutely breathtaking to watch, and go on runs where they rip sides to absolute shreds, but aren't as proficient at the gritty side to their game, meaning that we have an achilles heel period of trying to adapt in between going all guns blazing, before Hellberg comes up with a solution. We could do with an Henry mind!

Millwall are like Leicester the year they won the Prem. Hugely unfancied, have came from nowhere and just kept going while the rest of the league looks on open-mouthed. The epitome of a side that has a couple of standout players, but are far greater than the sum of their parts. Can counter attack with precision and their team spirit is probably second to none.

I don't buy into us being a bad watch anyway. Goals are what fans live for and we consistently rack them up. Neither do we employ shithouse anti football tactics much which is why it was a surprise Rushworth did at Sheffield United what is done to us pretty much every week.

Burnley are an example of a team that stink their way to promotion.

I’m not saying we’re anti football. Just we do what’s needed to win games. We aren’t Burnley but we aren’t a Leeds. Were Lampards Coventry. I think the Mourinho comparison is a good one.
