Strange dropping that on a CB when they already have the 3 best in the league (according to their fans only)

Ipswich are very short on numbers up front, it is a strange signing out of kilter with their previously successful approach but I guess needs must

The man who outdid Vik that year, certainly not generated the second deal yet and it's getting late.

Championship preview: 1-24 final table predictions for 2025/26

With the Championship the next league to get going, Tom Carnduff undergoes the near-impossible task of predicting the final table.

3. COVENTRY

I'm not Frank Lampard's biggest fan as anyone who has had the misfortune of reading my work since he was handed a managerial career knows BUT I will give him credit for the job he's done at Coventry.

He did inherit a good squad from Mark Robins and it was a team underperforming which needed a fresh voice when Lampard arrived.

Coventry looks like a good fit in that they have a talented group of players, particularly going forward, while the additions of Kaine Kesler-Hayden and goalkeeper Carl Rushworth are really smart bits of business even if it's been a quiet window.

Everything points towards continued progression for the Sky Blues.

Hilarious, it will absolutely break their new found egos to discover that not every footballer in the universe is interested in ‘The Project’ and wants to sign for them

They aren't going to sell hamer are they?

He really needs to go, how he is still in the champ is beyond all possibilities.

Think he is already on 50k a week. The loan deal from what I've seen is a loan fee of over 1m and paying his wages.

Looks like Championship players just don't go for what we think atm. Nowhere near the original reported price and a good player too who was one of the very few to come out of that Prem season with any credit.

With Vini Souza and Anal gone as well as the many loans returned to their clubs, Sheffield United look pretty weak right now. It's unclear if this new ownership has the intention of putting money in but no sign of it yet. If Hamer leaves you're looking at a very mediocre team i think.

Outside hamer was one of their best players in the prem..

Probably smells better on the farms in Suffolk than in Tom Brady's wheelie bin

Honestly I'd rather they spunked £10 million on a washed player like Akpom. They can spend that far better.

I agree actually, but he's been serenaded by Ed Sheeran, one of the top 5 gingers worldwide. You may as well announce Akpom at that point.
