Is everyone aware of the story behind that scene? It's a fab scene, but Ford was actually supposed to have a sword fight with the bloke, but had diarrhea on the day of filming, so they just had Indie shoot the baddie instead.

Love the story that this scene was supposed to be a big sword fight but Harrison Ford had the shots that day and didn’t want to do the whole thing so he and Spielberg just agreed to go with the shooting instead.

Seen a couple of Ipswich fans suggesting that he personally, is in the Premier League regardless of whether they go up this season or not so he may have mentally checked out a bit

Who knows, they still have the potential to go on a run of course but it does seem everyone has got them nailed on for the Top 2 apart from their own supporters

I must admit disappointed with the way he left club.

Got to say he in virtually all the time at City he really tried for the cause. Remember some games he was kicked to pieces but carried on.

It’s their away form that’s a problem for them. They’re averaging less than 1.3 ppg on the road.

We’ve slipped to 1.5 ppg and that’s after going close to 3 months without a win away. Even if Ipswich win their games in hand, our away form is still better which says a lot.

If Ipswich don’t go up this season, it should be considered a major blot on McKenna’s CV because their squad is in my view, not that far away from last seasons Leeds/Burnley teams. In 23/24 their team hit 96 points with an objectively worse team. That is where they should be to be honest.

Will they pull the trigger soon if it doesn't change for them maybe in a couple of games time?

The team he took up had been together for a number of seasons and understood what he wanted from them very well (like our team this season). When you dismantle that and start again with very talented but unfamiliar players, it’s not a shock that they are currently performing less than the sum of their parts.

There’s a lesson in there for us if we go up.

plenty of the team have played together a lot, for example they have basically a former west brom defence wit Davis added as an outsider.

There is the issue, for all their spending they have managed to spend big on fucking west broms defence

it's not that, the have a team good enough to still win most games even as a scratch side

it's the insistence of making a back 4 of see ball kick ball defenders play out form the back added to a midfield tha has far too llitte quality for the amount of money spent

in the end they are a team of top level championship players and that is where they are

Slowly building a squad and keeping most if not all of your best players is the way to go.

Look at the players we have now. Most were supposed to have been a waste of money until they started to settle in. We would struggle each season at the start partly because of changing players. This season we were supposed to scrape the playoffs at best but our players knew each other well and we got off to a great start.

Same if and when we go up this season. Keep our best players and add quality players to it.

I agree with majority of this. However most media pundits and perhaps most of our humble fans thought play offs were likely. No-one anticipated being top of league with 13 games to go.

We’ve consistently been predicted to be top six for several years now.

Most people on here predicted top six, I predicted just outside cos I’m a pessimistic c**t but I was in the minority:

Where will we finish

Think ive done this most seasons , and I generally do quite well with this 😂 Now with the season upon us its time to give us your thoughts This season i think we will finish 4th and hit the playoffs again

Regarding Ipswich...yes they have an incredibke squad worth 200m plus.

But as ive said all along this season your in trouble if your relying on Philogene and Clarke as your top goalscorers.

To be just left with Hirst..

Cant win the league with just no 10s. ..Azon, Mehmeti, Akpom and Neghli

Put Broadhead/Moore/Windass in their team and they win the league.

Poor mismanagement.

well that was a tough watch.

Oxford must have set a new record for the amount of blocks on Saturday - fair play, they executed their game plan very well and you could argue they had the better chances having hit both the crossbar and post. I think if we where still playing now we wouldn't have scored yet.

Certainly looks like you have weathered the 'storm' fixtured look pretty good for you.

We just need to keep Ipswich at arms length

Their backroom staff alone is as big as most playing squads.

If autos does happen, which I'm sure it will, it will be lovely to be able to watch the playoffs without any stress.
