I wonder if we'll continue with La La La at home games next season. The atmosphere really built at Sunderland for around 10 mins in ET with it. Not sure how it came across on the tele, but was very loud and felt a party atmosphere.

Milan Manderic is flying in to see if he can buy Wednesday from him.

Blimey, I was slightly surprised Manderic was still alive.

Do you think Uncle Harry will come out of retirement to manage the club.

I was there but don't remember that. Would be good if it did, it's abit like the EMC song, catchy and people join in even if they won't usually sing.

It didn't because people just kept saying la la la over and over completely out of time because others were expecting the words

Sheffield Wednesday F.C. sets record with enormous football shaped cake

On Sunday, Sheffield Wednesday baked the world’s largest cake ball to celebrate the football club’s 150th anniversary and the Owls in the Park 2017 event.

Tbf i don't think most were expecting words. Timing you're probably right, but simple is often best.

He's a good man manager and let's be fair, did a great job to have them competing with Leeds and Burnley given they didn't really have a squad in pre season. His signings are very hit and miss though. It'll be hilarious if they appoint O'Neil, a huge backwards step.

I actually don't think that acquiring decent players was that difficult a job last summer for him . The owner situation meant that he was stuck with acquiring free transfers and loans mainly. There were good quality players around whose wages many other Championship clubs couldn't afford . When let loose with money he signed Cannon who was very poor and Holding who he got in and then played Jack Robinson ahead of him. He is an incredibly stubborn individual who blames everyone else under the sun when things go wrong and takes the praise when it comes. Many of their fans admit that they were extremely fortunate to win a good number of their games last season which were entirely down to him trying to protect one goal leads . Ultimately was his downfall. Doesn't help that he's an alcoholic too.

With all the hype over Brum and Wrexham having massive amounts of money for transfers and hints they will be paying £30k a week to mediocre players ( I know, Binks ) , when does FFP and PSR kick in,or are they exempt as promoted sides?

It's over a certain period of time I think. Sure for 12 months they can get away with spending

Losses are assessed over a three year rolling period. Think £39m is the max.

Birmingham of course will have some losses from their last Championship season but I assume their owners will worm their way around it

Birmingham's operating losses for 2023 and 2024 combined are already £56m

actually it's £41m as they had some income from player sales, i think they're right at the limit though, £39m + £2.5m cost of living allowance
