Only through skullduggery though, thinking about that game there has to be more of a sanction to stop the trend, isn't there a corner available if the goalkeeper hangs onto it too long, something similar with a teamm sanction maybe a pen to make coaches discount it as a tactic,of then there will shenanigans around that as well.

Sure, but it’s the only time we’ve even trailed this season.

They have also had to get an emergency keeper in on loan too.

They beat Portsmouth 2-0 away where Boro lost. Today's results were quite eye-opening as well. Plus Sheff Wed are at home (I know we beat them there, but football is a crazy game). So who knows.

Good result on Sat vs Watford with goals for Torp and we COULD be top 3. Or 4 assists!

You look at where some of the teams we've had big wins against are at the moment it really is baffling how Norwich actually came the closest to anyone in beating us

More by luck than judgement. We dominated that game as much as we did against Sheff W, QPR, Millwall, Birmingham.

Just looking at Charlton results and they’ve had an easy a ride as people say we have
Fair play to them
In the top teams they’ve lost to QPR and Festa
Ipswich is the only big win so far

I actually don’t mind Boro, decent fans / club despite it being an even worse place than Coventry.

If we both ended up being top 2 that would be kool. I’d love to win the league, but also I’m genuinely not that bothered if we get 2nd place. Maybe a tad too early to be talking about this, but I felt I saw something different in us last night that was really impressive.

Bit harsh to say our runs been easy

Millwall, Hull and QPR who are all pushing for playoffs in a very close league. Hell Millwall are 3rd!

And we drew with Leicester

Having about the same no. of points after 11 games that we had at Xmas last season feels a bit weird.

It really is the best league in the world, and it is kind of a shame that we’re not going to be playing in it for much longer.

And it took us until our 2nd goal (I think) against Plymouth on Boxing Day to score as many as we have in 11 matches this season.

So in terms of the pre-season favourites for the title:

Leicester - 8 points behind us, possible points deduction on the way
Ipswich - 12 points behind us
Southampton - 13 points

We are 5 points clear in the automatic spots, and we beat the team in third 4-0 away from home. The underlying stats are arguably better than the real ones. There is really no other goal for the season other than automatic promotion, and the title is extremely doable. Even a four or five game skid would see us well in the mix.

In terms of bookies favourites you could include Birmingham and The Blunts with those 3 too.

Birmingham was just hype IMO. But yes, the collapse of Sheffield United has only opened the door wider for us. Totally unprecedented opportunity for a non-parachute payment team to win the league, amazing that it looks like it could be us.

The irony of fans saying we haven’t played top teams yet, implies their team isn’t considered a top team. Fucking numpties
