Think it’s actually good news to enter admin, likely will get sale then and current owner can’t do much about that.

however like out situation, he owns the stadium separate so will likely make things very difficult.

Might be a bit much for Barry Bannon to have an ex with a disabled kid just for this.

I wouldn’t expect a team like Sheffield Wednesday to go under, there is always always a buyer in the wings.

Their biggest creditor is Chansiri. He also separately owns their ground. I doubt there is any buyer with any sense waiting in the wings for them in reality. They've had one season in 25 years since relegation with any chance of promotion. Despite the delusion of their fans, they've not been a well established top flight team at any point since the war, with a maximum length of stay of 11 years.

Yes they come across a big club with a lot of history, but they've been basically shite since the war bar a few good seasons under Ron Atkinson in the early 90s. Big fan base in a big City. They could end up like Bury, shame if they do.

I don't think they will - Sheffield Wednesday are too big of a club to cease to exist as we know it, clubs like that don't just stop existing

It sounds like a nasty thing to say, but in 2019 there was a reason Bolton kept their heads above water and Bury didn't... A businessman somewhere will always take a punt on clubs like Bolton, Sheff W - The smaller clubs not so much

I still think Ashley swoops in at the eleventh hour at some point, end of the day he has to have had a motive for selling us that stadium as quickly and as unexpectedly as he did

The Don Valley went years ago, their was a bit of controversy about it at the time as Jess Ennis had just won her Olympic Golds and that was where she did all her training and she campaigned against it's closure

Millmoor still gets used for Sunday League games! I didn't even know it was still there till we last played Rotherham away and we went past it on the train

I watched Rotherham play there once, was going round trying to do all the grounds with my dad and went in an international break when we were still in the Championship and they were in L2

It was an awful place to watch football

My one and only visit to Don Valley was Gatecrasher for the Millennium.

They promised live link ups around the world, a funfair and all matter of things for £100 a ticket.

Basically it was just a fucking freezing sports stadium in the middle of winter with a DJ. My pills were shit and we ended up in gay bar until about 6 in the morning on a come down until we could get the first train back to Cov.

Good times.

It normally is but look what happened to us when we went into admin, with Sisu appointing their preferred administrator. Will Chansiri be allowed to do the same?

No it’s not. Hallam University campus and a School-plus a purpose built Basketball arena.

There is a mini artificial grass pitch but it’s mainly used for Rugby.

I know a few have mentioned watching games there & it was shit to watch-it was my Sunday League teams home ground at one point and it was bloody quality to play on.
