If, big if of course, we beat Hull and WBA then I think we're pretty much there.

We could even lose our three remaining games and still sneak in.

A win on Monday gives us a huge advantage. West brom would have to come and attack which leaves them vulnerable defensively

I was thinking that, then I remembered, we’re Cov, it’d be boring doing it that way, it’ll be a 95th min winner against mboro to get us in , 8 more games to go

It’s now a question of nerves as much as it is ability.

Even if we lost to Hull, but beat WBA - that's fine. Similarly a win versus Hull and a draw against the Baggies. Both permutations would keep us firmly in it. Let's beat Hull first. Monday night could be huge for us.

Imagine, Sunderland in the play offs, they’ll be shitting it against us and for us it’s the 1 team we wouldn’t want to lose to, and it’ll be brilliant

Hull will have every right to be as nervous as we are, if not more so.

The stakes are equally high for both teams, so who will handle it better? Great viewing for the neutral

It is probably the ground I wouldn't mind being away second at.

Spot on, at this stage think your better playing teams down the bottom fighting than teams who’ve got nothing to play for, and it’s worked out perfect, our 2 hardest games are at home

Had a look at the Sunderland fan forum and their fans are already saying they don’t want to face us in the playoffs. We just have to get that 5th place.

5pts. Could be down to 2 next matchday. I wouldn't say they are safe personally.

People out Boro and Millwall out of playoff race few weeks ago. Got to remember how quickly things can change

The Hull game is now massive. Beat them then it would take an absolute disaster not to make the playoffs. 5 points ahead of 7th means just 1 win from the last 4 games would mean one of the teams from 7th 8th and 9th would need to win 3 out of their remaining 4 with still another 3 games for us. And having both WBA and Middlesbrough at our place would mean a draw in both would be sufficient if we beat either of the bottom 2 clubs.

Does anyone still think we're not going to make it to the playoffs?

As I and others keep mentioning we didn't catch up with then go past the teams below us so quickly for no reason. Just 2 wins from our last 5 games could easily be enough.

Few more twists yet, but we’ll be ok, remember we don’t do things the easy way

We have it fully in our own hands. Those in 7th downwards will be demoralised. They need to keep winning and hope that Bristol City or ourselves keep slipping up to have a chance.

Starting to look like we will have secured a playoff spot before we play Middlesbrough.

I think we're huffing and puffing a bit but I don't rate our competition and we've made up some huge points deficits on some of them. I think its a poor Championship and I've said so from the start.
I do actually still think we'll get in, I wouldn't be putting bets on us to win them but you've got to be in it to win it.

Think every outcomes gone through my head the last few games, not a must win Monday but it would help the old heart a bit if we did, 5 point gap with 4 to play and Bristol city having to play Leeds and Sunderland, we’ve got the best run in, All down to us

Think Millwall gave the best run in, (if you're including them).

I wish I shared the confidence of others on here!

Have a horrible feeling it’s going to a last-day shoot-out against Middlesbrough.

Since moving up here in 2009, I’ve never seen us lose at Hull - 2 wins, 2 draws (was even on holiday for the 2-3 loss a few years back)….but I still have the dread for Monday!

wasnt really thinking of them, but they’ve done well, we could be 5 points clear after Monday and we’ve got 3 teams in the bottom 5, and as someone else said they’re away at burnley last game probably needing a win, def wouldn’t swap our games

Yeah, 3 good fixtures before that though
Think if Burnley have anything to play for last day it will be whether they finish 1st or 2nd.

Monday is a must not lose for certain. A win would be just wonderful of course and preferred but if we can’t win then don’t lose

Agree but we do need to win 3 or 4 more games and this is as winnable or perhaps more so than the others.

Not at all, but they would always be below below regardless of the result today and our game on Monday

We should be going into every game confident we will win each one
