We need to thrash someone - goal difference could be important mag be the difference between Scumberland and Burnley

It’s just more rubbish. It’s been blatant all along. Surely with the ‘people have the nerve’ it was obvious what was going on. I’ve said it in literally every single match thread. This insecurity thing you have about always being right has blinded you.

I could say it on Saturday and Tuesday, and people will still froth at it.

We don't need to thrash anyone, we just need to win. I guarantee no one within the club is paying even the smallest amount of attention to goal difference.

We shouldn’t leave it down to goal difference let us get in by points won

Agreed it would be better with points but If they all get close goal difference will decide it - could be the difference between Sunderland and Burnley and we don’t want to be playing Burnley

We need to finish 4th or 5th for our best chance of getting the one off game for Wembley. How things stand we won't catch up with any sides on GD presently in the top 6. Not worth worrying about yet.

To finish 4th we'd have to catch up 12pts on Sunderland in 11 games, just admit it isn't going to happen.

It wasn't long ago where the comment was we wouldn't catch up with the top 6. The only time my confidence dipped on this was after our defeat against Norwich.

If we beat Sunderland at home the gap becomes 9 points. In their last 9 games they got 15 points. In our last 9 games we got 24 points.

I'm not saying it will happen. The odds are well against it. But it isn't impossible. Most of their remaining games are against sides in the chase for the top 6. It would be better for us if their form picked up a bit. But if they see themselves in 4th whatever they could take their foot off the gas.

The next two games are vital! Two wins and then if we fuck up the next 3 against the Top 4 clubs we’ve created a bit of buffer in there.
You’ve gotta bank points against the lower teams now.
You’ve gotta fancy us against Derby & Stoke and then we are at least good for a draw against Sunderland at a minimum.

Sunderland lost their best player and another main player a couple of games ago to injury. Wright could be back on form by the time we play them. There's no reason to expect a defeat in that game.

But we are due to lose a game we play well in. It won't be the end of the world when we lose a game.

It's a long, hard season. Crap pitches at this time of the season don't help.

The one big bonus for us will be if EMC and Wright don't have any setbacks. They will be fresh against players that are knackered. Rudoni will be coming back against players not 100%.

Found it i think. Absolutely no chance the MLS is better, in fact i'd make an argument for being around 6th, although admittedly i know little about the Brazilian league.

Having the US Major Soccer League above the Championships just discredits the survey.

Yes, the standard of football in the MLS is still absolutely atrocious. Probably Lower League 1/League 2

Could Lionel Messi do it on a wet and windy night in Morecambe?

Yes, yes he could.

There might be some dross there (MLS, not Morecambe), but I think there are a lot of good developing South and Central American talents there, too. Not surprising really that good young players from the Americas gravitate there.

My point still holds that the overall the standard of football in the MLS is extremely poor

Hoping that Oxford get something out if this tonight, although Sargent/ Sainz will probably enough for a Norwich win.
