Hull next but after that Norwich, Burnley, Sheffield United, Watford, West Brom. Sunderland all to play. If they are still hanging around after that then fair play to them.

The cut off is probably 11th, can’t see Wednesday and Millwall being in the mix now.

Millwall are dicks.

And people have the nerve to tell me our games aren’t must win.

I'd say that's Preston out of it now. Good luck to them on FA cup though

9 teams left fighting for 2 spots. A few more hopefully eliminated this weekend

If we win all our remaining games we'll be on 86 points.
We don't need 86 points to secure a play off place. We can afford to drop points, and we will do, as will the teams around us.

Cardiff v Burnley an interesting watch. Cardiff definitely had joy with crosses into the box and their aerial threat, which is one of our strengths.

Think it's down to 6 teams (Cov, West Brom, Bristol C, Blackburn, Boro and Norwich) for 2 playoff spots. Watford have an inferior goal difference and don't think they will sneak in just based on gut feeling. If Norwich lose or at most draw against Oxford on Friday that would be great.

We need to still be in the top 6 after Stoke and Derby imo.

6 wins from the 11 remaining games should be sufficient. Though who those wins are against does matter also.

Some very high stakes home games to come.

It's not really, on promotion you grow into your new wealth pretty rapidly. It's not a good sign that a club with supposedly a very wealthy shareholder is going to Wonga to raise finance.

3 pts Saturday and move on that is the only thing we should care about. The squad have worked hard to get in a position where its in our hands. And now we have to work twice as hard to keep it. We will see plenty of twist and turns and times when we think we blew it or sealed it.

Whatever the outcome this squad has proved its a team that competes in the top 10. That is a question now we don't have to keep debating.

So if we don't win we're not getting playoffs?

People have been mistakenly calling important games "must win" for a while

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2013/04/knicks-celtics-game-2-must-win-carmelo-green.htm

But anyway a "must win" game is a game you need to win or your promotion/championship aims are no longer possible. Saturday is not one of those.

They're not bunching up behind us. We've just gone past them. There's a decent chance we will win our next 2 games. Then we will put a bit of space between us.

Next Tuesday will be interesting. WBA away to Burnley and Bristol City away to Sheffield United. Only 4 teams are within 3 points of us. We have the easiest 2 games. If we win both we will be minimum 4 points above the sides that lose a single game.

We do have our 3 most difficult games after this. But Sunderland at home then a 2 week break.

Watford have a favourable set of fixtures short term but then have a very difficult run in. Their away form isn’t great but I think they are still in with a shout

Plenty of twists and turns in this still. Wouldn't be surprised if we create a gap over the next 3 games then it's reeled back in as we play 2 of the top 3.

6 wins gets us a play off spot imo. The fixtures are favourable to us. Away games against shite sides and sheff utd left and home games against play off rivals.

It’s just more rubbish. It’s been blatant all along. Surely with the ‘people have the nerve’ it was obvious what was going on. I’ve said it in literally every single match thread. This insecurity thing you have about always being right has blinded you.

I could say it on Saturday and Tuesday, and people will still froth at it.
