Mowbray will stabilise Birmingham and do a decent job but i don't think it's the appointment the owners were dreaming of

Carvalho to Hull - they have some very decent footballers at their place now. Really ought to be looking at a top 6 place (unfortunately)

Struggling to think of a more bland club than Hull.

I quite like Tony Mowbray but his stats as a manager are not all that impressive.
He has managed 7 clubs prior to this appointment, not counting his caretaker role at Ipswich.
The only major success was with WBA where he got them promoted. Following that, he was sacked by Celtic after less than a year, left Middlesboro and us under somewhat of a cloud following poor results, was not retained by Blackburn when his contract expired, and most recently was sacked by Sunderland after 16 months.
I hope he at least manages to keep his job with Birmingham for longer.

Did well at Blackburn and Sunderland to be fair to him.

Agree, but they have that Philogene returning from injury, Tufan, Carvalho, Delap ( injured atm) plus a couple of other decent foreign players ( names escape me). If they click, they may be very strong.

Not sure what happened at Sunderland, they did ok last year. They were 9th when he was sacked so should have been given more time there it seems.

Should have been given a centre forward to replace Stewart, that was the biggest issue (instead they bought several 'maybe one day' type of forwards, none of whom have performed - about 1 goal between 4 of them all season)

Great result for us regarding Boro. If they had got thrashed in the first leg, they may well have rested players for the 2nd leg to concentrate on the league. Now they'll go strong, get beat and be down in the dumps. Plus I'll put another hex on them before kick off regarding injuries. Perfect !

Might be a twat but he had 18 G+A in this league as a teenager, it’s a massive signing for them.

Feel like the carvalho signing can go either way , bad attitude usually doesn't translate well when pushed into a loan a division down .

if he was worth the twattishness he wouldn't be at hull

not worth the disruption is the view on him

They seem to have a lot of good players in the attacking midfield positions, not sure about the rest of their team. Still reckon we'll take them.

yeah and as I said i'd be really worried as it seems lots of other teams have decided that he's not worth the stress

Leeds, Soton, Wolves and Sheff Utd were reportedly interested… I think he’ll be great for Hull, he has to earn himself a move now as it doesn’t look like he’ll make the cut at Liverpool.

reportedly but they didn't sign him did they, if they wanted him he would of went to them

as evo said, it could go either way as his bad attitude is both on and off the pitch and bigger teams it looks like really didn't want to risk him coming in and upsetting the dressing room and making things worse

he's talented but if he was the sure fire success you say then he wouldn't off dropped down to hull

Leeds have Rutter, Soton and Sheff Utd don’t play a 4231 and he’d really have to fight for a place at Wolves.

Hull makes the most sense for someone who needs minutes. We’ll see at the end of the season how good he is.

Id imagine that when you're used to Liverpool, a loan to Hull is a pretty stark wake up call. Sink or swim

he can play in any of those teams systems, if the bigger teams had wanted him then he would of went there

he maybe good for them but he isn't the sure fire thing you seem to think he will
