I get that, he has scored a lot of high tariff goals this season (wand of a left foot) if I was buying I'd want to see another season's worth of evidence before spunking 30+ million on him probably. Doesn't help that I've only seen highlights + the two 90 minutes against us (that weren't great).Absolutely expecting to be shot down for this but I’m not sure Whittaker’s season stacks up particularly well statistically. He outperformed his xG by miles (suggesting his ‘goals scored’ could be a statistical anomaly) and the rest of his game seems to be middling-to-poor.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually quite like him as a player but those who base their recruitment on hard data could be slightly put off.

Yep, they also have a boatload out on loan too that won't want to be there.Leeds have more to lose I think. So many of their players won’t want to be playing in the Championship again. Lots on big wages. Lots out on loan returning in the summer.
