I think we've seen this season that some of our squad are not up to scratch in terms of Championship quality. We know if we stay up, we can't sell 12 players and buy 12. Some will need to stay, and we hope improve.

Sell
Allen - His lack of physical presense has really been shown up in this league. Good League 1 player, but needs to be moved on.
Hyam - His lack of pace will not improve. He's been great for us, but I think we would get a fee for him, and he's a a fine League 1 defender
Wilson - Still some doubts over Marosi, but Wilson is not the answer. At his age, should be a Number 1, and sure he would find a club in League 1 / 2
Baka - Out of contract anyway, but time is up. Had his chances, and wish him all the best.

Keep
Shipley - I'd give him another chance next season. He's young enough to improve. I don't think he'll make it at this level, but happy to be proved wrong.
Biamou - 4th choice striker, I'd keep Max. Yeah, he's missed some chances, but he's also scored some important goals.
McFadz - Possibly not first choice, but another year, just for his leadership alone

Fadz another year ..think its time to move Shipley on for the good of his career ...he's a league 1 player unfortunately this league has been too much for him which is a shame .

Biamou , no from me but think the club will offer him a year

The others there is a strong argument to move on if we are to free up wages to improve the squad

Hyam , it's not just been his pace this year...something isn't the same with him in general ..
He changed his diet last year went vegan , now I don't know if this has any implications at all in performance , I'm sure somebody will show its more beneficial but not all players will react the same to such nutritional shift , its harder to absorb plant bases proteins for starters and the lack of b12 which the body can't produce itself effects red cells , he's definitely slimmer this year , but he's not the same player regardless of the league

I agree with the ones to go but would also get rid of the other three as well and would want to move a few others out as well, I don’t think we are strong enough financially to keep players around the dressing room and Kelly can do that if he gets a deal.

I'll trust MR with this one - he has looked a long way off it for a lot of this season, but mainly through lack of energy on the pitch. No idea whether he is recovering from something, but he needs to be able to impact games a lot more than he has. He (as well as management) will know this. Wish him well, whatever happens, as he is no Kastaneer, in terms of attitude.

Teams nearer to his level would sign him and if we sign players in the summer he would just spend time on the bench or in the under 23’s

He has always looked unfit and rarely finishes a game it’s not new this season.

Doubt we'd let go of him, influential player and much easier to pick out the mistakes that the numerous blocks, headers away etc. Letting McFadz go would leave us with Hyam, Rose, Drysdale, Pask

If possible, sell jobello, kast, baka, biamou, shipley, hyam, rose, hilsner, dacosta and wilson or marosi. Don't mind allen but would not be gutted if we sold.

In a weird way I think it's possible McFadz could reject us. If we're looking to progress he should only be a backup choice here. Osti, or a player like him, should be bought in over the summer, a younger less error prone McFadz. He may well think that he'd rather be first choice in league 1 than backup in the Champ at his age.

I'd take the option on Hyam and make him compete for the RCB role after bringing in a LCB.

Kelly should be offered 2 years.

We might have more success moving players on now if the lockdown roadmap goes to plan so clubs at the level below can budget properly and not have to deal with that ridiculous wage cap.

Personally, I don't rate Kelly, but I think in a weird way we are better with him

I would agree sadly. City through and through but he’s not good enough for this league. Needs to do a Westbrooke and reset in L1.

If we are going to stick with this formation next season (presuming we stay up) we need 3 new CB’s (Osti won’t stay). That’s not going to be easy and I very much hope the recruitment department move quickly to get that position sorted. CB’s need a good chunk of pre-season to get an understanding of each other.

I’d rather keep Allen and Hyam than Biamou. He hasn’t scored enough important goals to merit a new contract

Going to be a very interesting transfer window this summer, there will be a lot of decent quality players released looking for clubs including current premier players, wages will have to be more realistic, looking at our present squad I think there are a number who with better players around them and a years championship quality under their belts will be better themselves.

The thing with Biamou is budget might dictate we have to keep him.
Bringing in two quality strikers will cost and other areas of the team will require attention.

If the price of bringing in a quality striker is having Biamou as 4th choice I could live with that. I wonder what the plans are for the lad from Rochdale?

Disagree, I think if we stay up Ostigard will sign with us. He’s a solid defender with potential. But he’s got a rush of blood to the head (like a young Big Mo) and on top of that his attacking headers are dreadful

Yes, at the start he said he’ll look at whether hes likely to get first team football at Brighton before resigning. This is unlikely given they’re likely to stay up

I was of the same mind as you but I think he's had enough of a chance to show he isn't up to it and we're not going to be any worse off if the 4th choice is a youngster and getting some game time aids in their development.

Hopefully he will be 4th choice striker, if we stay up we definitely shouldn’t keep Biamou and would be surprised if we do.

Yeah why waste time on someone who wasn’t even a first team player for us in League 1 and stifle the development of other players?

Pending us staying up I think we’ll sign Ostigard, Walsh and Sheaf. May need a bit more wheeling and dealing this season though.

we definitely need a couple of defenders and at least 1 more striker. Along with 1 Maybe 2 left backs

As big (if not bigger) signing as O'Hare if we got him. Think it's more likely that Sam McCallum re-signs for us.

For me Sam has improved amazingly. From Herne bay to Championship in rapid time, He's quick, brave and good in the air, and still young and learning. Not sure why we think we can get much better than that - plus fits our model. Probably won't get him, but I'd be more than happy if he was here next year. If not, let's hope Reid or Newton can kick on (or kick wingers!)
