Sorry mate, it was Chelsea vs. Bayern.
How many English players on that Chelsea squad tonight ??

I can't stand neither Chelsea or Bayern, but that surely was a new definition of an undeserved victory...
In the first 2 mins of extra time Chelsea spend more time in Bayern's half then in 90 mins before...

Lampard and cole are English. Made me laugh when the sycophantic commentator said Lampard always scores on the big occasion. Really?

FANTASTIC FOR THEM TRUE IT WAS'NT PRETTY DI MATTEO AND DROGBA AND CHECH "WINNERS" Its worth it just to see Platini having to hand it to them.

Chelsea did a job. Totally disagree it was undeserved. Not pretty but I would take us winning trophies like that.

Bayern had over 30 goal attempts in the 1st half, yet more of Chelsea's mere 9 efforts were on target.

Chelsea deserve it because they took their chances. Bayern couldn't shoot for shit, even from 12 yards. They even had one more penalty than Chelsea and missed that too, at their own ground.

At my sisters wedding but had it on in the function room (at the grooms request of course......amongst all the other males).

Gotta admit it looked pretty full (when I could see when people didn't stand in my view!).

Glad Chelsea won though. Just hope Di Matteo gets the job FT. He's certainly turned them around since AVB left

Exactly. Chelsea were depleted. Their 2 centre backs have just come back from injury. Only one thing that matters and that is the name on the cup.

Feel a bit for Spurs though.

Well done Chelsea. Did you see the boat race on Platini? He didn't look happy for a "neutral" did he?

I don't care too much how won that final as I don't like both teams, but I simply do not understand why people are so hyped about how Chelsea played and how they are praised for it.
It's simply awful to watch and undeserved in my eyes as Chelsea entered Bayern's half kust three or four times in 120 mins. Bayern were too stupid to score, agreed.
But that kind of football made me despise the Germany squad for ages now.

I actually enjoyed the match. Whenever Chelsea have needed a goal in, both the final and the semi at the nou camp, they have got 1 almost staight away. Either they have been extremely negative and lucky in both games. Or this is their tactic which has obviously served them well in cup competitions and they are a very hard team to beat. I go with the latter and thought there were some outstanding Chelsea performances last night. Cole, Drogba and Cech stood out for me. No I wouldn't mind if Sky blues played negative and won it's better than having no game plan and losing

It wasn't pretty but defending's also an artform and Chelsea have done it very well since Di Matteo's taken over. He's known their limitations and played to their strengths. Sign of a really good manager. I can only remember Cech having to make 3 saves, and one of them was a penalty! I enjoyed the match and I enjoyed Chelsea winning, there were quite a few English in the squad and actually in the team - Cole, Cahill, Lampard and Bertrand al started.

Certainly was not a great game but I must admit I was getting nervous for Chelsea in extra time. Robben was superb and just kept going all night shame he couldn't hit a barn door!

Cole and drogba were awesome and if di Matteo does not get that job then no one should

Lots more respect for Chelsea over last few weeks. Very sensible tactics and played to their strengths. Trouble with the playstation generation is that they have forgotten that football is more than perfect goals and 21 pass moves. Its about defending, organization and guts as well. Fair play to them

So....they had more chances then?

My original point stands. They had over 30 chances in the whole game (Source: SSN) and still lost.

Oh, as for Cole: I don't like him as a person. But as a footballer, he was superb last night.

yes agree with cole and yes they had 35 shots but imo doesnt mean they deserve to win they were mostly long shots and then they got the ball in the box and shot

you dont convert your chances they mean f all! you can have 100 shots on goal and score none but one thing is for sure, you need better attacking players as a result!!!

Chelsea were a bit like us in 87,there was an inevitability about it,the momentum was with them ,they believed and also had the best striker going albeit with chicanery in his game ,Bayern bottled it ,absolutely no composure in front of the sticks
