English clubs proving why the Europa/Conference leagues are pretty much Mickey Mouse cups. 15th and 16th place in the Europa final while Chelsea reserves have strolled to the conference final.

Villa finished in the UCL spots and got beat by Forest B (Olympiacos).

I reckon I'll give the Europa League final a wide berth. I remember when we had that Spurs vs Liverpool Champions League final a few years ago, and quite frankly it bored the arse off me. I can't imagine the Europa final being any better.

(Watch it turn out to be an absolute all time classic now...)

Two shite teams in the final should be fun in theory. There will be goals and howlers I reckon.

The annoying thing is that they will both consider that they have had a successful season on the back of this. That said, we thought winning the Checkatrade was a success despite being relegated to the fourth tier for the first time in our history a couple of weeks later!

Have to give it Chelsea, they’ve put in a cracking second half performance after being out played and lucky to still be in it in the first!

…from what I remember, no one admitted to rating him.

Talk to Chelsea fans, and like Leicester fans, you’ll find most of them don’t either.

I’d much rather have Lampard managing us than him.

Irrelevant. He's clearly not a shit manager

And I didn't say I rated him. I just stood up for him when people on here flaked about what a shit manager he was and how he would be found out this year

Didn't happen

Kompany won the German title too.

Been all over them really. Feels a bid dodge that the 15th placed team are looking good to win it.

Wonder what Wolves fans are thinking watching Vitinha!

PSG absolute class above, this could get messy.

I have been in absolute awe of PSG for 90 minutes . Probably the best performance in a final ever

Feel they will dominate European football for the next few years

Vitinha 25
Joao Neves 19
Doue 19
Barcola 21
Kvarathskelia 24
Hakimi 26
Donnarumma 26
Nuno Mendes 22
Zaire-Emery 19

Don’t watch enough CL football to know otherwise, but this PSG performance feels like an all-timer. The fluidity of movement just brilliant. Enrique’s 2nd CL if I’m not mistaken?

I get that, but it makes me a whole lot happier they’ve finally won it without going down the “Galacticos” route.

Who has become a “great” just by making 5 yard passes their entire career?

God I hope so. But yes, I think the uber-positional style is on the way out, bit more of an aggressive play style is my thing.

Was my first thought too, but bit weird for Stan Collymore to be negging one of the best to ever do it for no real reason!

Maybe he was talking about Sammy Clingan

Don’t entirely disagree, but genuinely my favourite player of the last 15 years (which says a lot about me tbh).

Think stan is taking a dig at the modern tug fest over high pass completion stats when most players love a good safe 5 yard pass to boost their stats when sometimes football simply needs to be more direct and exciting

Sounds to me like he’s just making stuff up in the usual nostalgia-fueled ranting about how it was all better in my day etc etc

PSG romping to the UCL title suggests direct and exciting football is alive and well!

Top player but his play acting was often ridiculous
