Acl might survive without ccfc

Ccfc wont survive without acl. The fact that they are using nene park as a threat proves that.

If the club were to be promoted to the championship playing at Nene Park against say Leeds, Leicester, Wolves, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, QPR, Palace, Derby, Forest, Sunderland,Villa, Ipswich etc. 6500 sell outs every game Sisu could own the ground football fans in general from the local area ( Northampton, Rushden, Kettering etc) would attend there would be no need for anyone from Coventry to attend then you have a francise.

I doubt very much ACL would survive without Coventry City. Academic anyway as it will be sorted.

15 pages so far debating the biggest load of horse shit the Telegraph have ever printed. Only 85 to catch up with the 'continually amazed at what Portsmouth get up to' thread.

I just cant believe that the Telegraph print anything that this idiot Fisher says, and he clearly is an imbecile of the highest order. If the club moved to Nene Park we would be financially doomed in a matter of months so its a no go for SISU to get their filthy mits on the 30 million they need to recoup.

It just makes me so angry though for this complete tool to put the fans through it. I agree we cant afford the current rent but for the sake of everyone he needs to start being the buisnessman he purports to be and sort out a deal, rather than acting like the unproffessional clown that he is coming accross as.

So you are trying to mitigate what sisu are attempting ? no business or organisation can allow this kind of pressure to be seen to work. If they do, ACL will be left with no credibility and they would lose the confidence of all their backers and business partners. fact.

Unfortunately Moff as long as some people take his nonsense seriously and turn the heat more on ACL, he only gets more encouragement to keep spouting it with the newspaper acting as his mouthpiece lest it get its drip-fed stories withdrawn.

I always thought that Hoffman was connected to the Trinity Group who own The Coventry Telegraph.Could he have sanctioned the this outrageous headline to further undermine Fisher?

No of course not, but it seems that he has at least alienated the fans and certainly divided opinion on wether he or indeed ACL will be this years pantomime villain.

This is just a silly story to try and provoke a reaction from ACL. Fans wouldn't go to Nene Park for a 'home' game and it would be the end of the club.

Indeed, after running the story within acouple of hours poole and Turner debunk it as hogwash and venture that Tf is a fool for not accepting the current offer ,I concur.

I dont see how they hoped to scare ACL with it though.......... it took us all about 60 seconds to figure out there was no real substance to it, that it actually made no sense financially and that a lot of fans wouldnt go...... you would have to figure that ACL took about as long to figure exactly the same

It has only succeeded in making those in charge at the club look pretty stupid again really. SISU have something planned behind the scenes if you ask me and this is stalling for time. I really do not think they are bothered about what the fans think or feel, they have their agenda and are sticking to it. It isnt about building a club, it is all about SISU's way out. The only driving forces of a hedge fund is money and a return on their investment in the shortest time possible - we would do well to remember that

Enough is enough really ..........

The only real news the CET ever publish is usually taken from here (either through OSB or PWKH).

Coventry City

On the 27th December Coventry City Football Club will be new occupants of Nene Park after popular owners SISU decided to downsize operations to improve profit margins and to ensure a swift return to the Premiership.
Nene Park has also secured new sponsorship in line with the Sky Blues move with legendary trouble shooter Ken Dulieu backing the new stadium. The new name for the stadium will be Nene Deluded Tango Park.

Posted on the wiki Nene Park page.

Then Scunthorpe chairman was saying in the local press recently that if a buyer did not come forward soon he would be forced to withdraw his finance from the club. Maybe CCFC could arrange a ground share to help him out. I could go to ALL home games then.

Hi, first time poster but City fan of umpteen years standing......

Been following recent developments with a keen interest, and can't really add much as it's all been well documented on here.

What does strike me though is the wedge that SISU are continually driving through the Club, fans, ACL, et al. I thought we had a PR 'expert' serving as a Director of CCFC? Maybe he's gone on holiday as I can't imagine him sat at TF's elbow advising him on PR and Communications strategy in this unbelievable farce.

Relations between all parties are at an all time low, so why not admit defeat Mr Clarke and donate your salary package to the rent account?

I dont understand why TF chooses to conduct the PR he does, if anything he seems to be losing the bit of belief the fans had. He seems to be doing ACL's PR for them. The more he says the less the fans believe what he says.

If it hadnt been for the appointment of MR and how he has galvanised the team then CCFC could possibly have been in a short but terminal decline ............... fans voting with their feet, and the life blood of the club cut off.

Question - if SISU got hold of the stadium how long do you think they would actually continue funding CCFC ?

just as a clue i repeat what i put earlier The only driving forces of a hedge fund is money and a return on their investment in the shortest time possible then move to the next hit - we would do well to remember that A loss making club would only decrease that return...... and i dont think SISU are willing to fund a drive to the premiership, the odds are not good of achieving that with too many variables - Hedge funds do not take those kind of gambles, yes they do gamble but it is very calculated with a good chance of success. Football just isnt that sure an outcome

just my opinion

But hey wouldn't be able to purchase 100% of the stadium until they got into the prem :thinking about: 50% yes, but whilst we linger in L1, they would take a long, long time to make a return in profit.
