Has anyone at the club confirmed that they were unable to agree terms with Ince, or is it just an assumption by the CET?

Thought he was Man U youth team? Then Norwich?

You're right, he was indeed. I'm getting my wires crossed with someone else. Maybe Tim Breaker from Luton? And to be fair, Breaker was a FB and hardly scored! Maybe it was because they both had blonde-ish hair.

Oh, I don't know. I've gotten confused somewhere along the line. Time to shut up.

So Robins has to join knowing he was 2nd choice from the board.

We should let him know he was 1st choice from that list with the fans.

Who said he was second choice ?
Surely Ince would have known the deal at the interview.

I quite liked Breaker, tidy little RB, one of Luton's best players in that era. He went to West Ham after Luton from what I recall, but wasn't as good for them.

Actually, the headline of this piece does kinda imply that our midfield will be in tatters (well, more tatters) as Robins main transfer target, Paul Ince, has rejected him

“In fact, considering the thoroughness of the process, we are pleased that within three weeks we have been able to whittle down 75 candidates to the one outstanding man for the job and that was Mark, who was categorically our first choice.”

This thread is bullshit. Ince was never first choice. If CET started it then they are already trying to F&%K things up............
