I wouldn't mind Chinese investors, it is working well enough for Leicester. They seem to be loving their football and you only have to look at the young Leicester owner to see he is mad for the football.

Our owners are Thai, well they are Asian investors fronted by Thais.

Gary Hoffman being part of Northern Rock does not stand for a good financial backing would this be a step backwards????

I remember reading somewhere that the cost of the club would be minimal, just the debts would be moved over to the new owners? Not sure what the amount would be, if it is substantial enough etc.

we all want to believe that at last after years and years of total lack of leadership, investment, hope, ambition, expectation, anticipation, belief, trust, security, dialogue with the fans, and importantly ,confidence in those who own our fabulous club who we all love, that these dark days can at last be put behind us.
I for one will be optimistic, and pray something will happen very shortly and i can at last start enjoying the summer with re-newed passion and enthusiasm for the start of next season

I thought Hoff was brought in by the last gov to sort out the mess Northern Rock was in & ready it to sell back to private banks

You are correct Walking Bird...Hoff was brought in by the govt, to sort out the mess that the previous board of Northern Rock had caused.

I imagine SISU want to turn a profit from their investment, hence the rejection first bid round.

Although they've took us nowhere at all.

Where do people get this £60m debts from? The last set of accounts for Sky Blue Sports & Leisure Group limited stated that total liabilities for the whole group was £37m of which £24m was owed to SISU. Not a great but at least get it right

think a lot of it is people guessing! quick question, if all the debts supposed to be with SISU what are the £13m of liabilities on top of what we owe them?

Other loans (eg the loan on training ground and finance leases for equipment, RR co owed £1.5m at the time) £4.3m
Trade creditors and transfer fees - (invoices from suppliers received not paid plus transfer fees) £2.8m
PAYE & VAT £0.6m
Accruals and other creditors (costs incurred but not invoiced yet so estimated/accrued) £3.1m
Deferred income (income received but relating to a later year eg 3yr sponsorship only take one year rest is deferred) £2.3m

accounts dont give much more detail than that

figures are for the group at 31/05/10

Not really sure what you are referring to here, but if you mean Lineker when he saved you then yes I agree.

As much as I am not a fan of you knicker stitchers I wouldnt want to see any club go bust, especially for its fans.

Personally if this possible investment doesnt work out for us, then i think we may be heading down the admin road.

I'm late onto this today but tbh it sounds like there is substance to this bid.
SISU are not going to accept anything that suggest they will need to walk away at great loss. They are willing to cut their loses yes.

So these 'investors' need to prove in writing the detail and amount of investment they have available to convince everyone.

There has been an indication they have money to buy a share of the Ricoh immediately in this plan so I envisage they have substantial funding and commitment. That Ricoh element with the Olympic year coming up is probably crucial to the deal. If such a deal can be done then it would indeed be fantastic news for our beloved club and a long time coming.

I said some months ago that the Ricoh was pivotal in any deal and so I believe this to be the case now.......

Also reports suggesting money to invest in players to buy a team to win promotion is music to the ears of everyone and if so then our fairy godmother has arrived. But you know the 'debt' is not that significant in the whole scheme of things.

If it fails which I think it will why not work together? At the end of the day it's CCFC that's the important part of this not the Hoff or SISU! Also this dose not help Andy at all!

The Hoff needs to play hardball with Sisu even if he has to wait for Sisu to put us into admin because it will pretty much wipe out the debt.

It smells to me like SISU are in trouble here. They knew that suspending Joe would
1. put the dealings out in the media (further aggrevating the already very annoyed fans) &
2. give them a better chance of negotiating a deal that is better for them (avoiding the conflict of interest).

I wouldn't doubt that there is a deal on the table. If it isn't Gary Hoffman who wants to run it, who is though? Is it the return of Ray? He is someone who told SISU to get stuffed once already so we know that he wanted what's best for the club. And also if he had his way, we would have had Henderson and Carroll at a bargain basement offer. I would love to see him back as chairman, Joe re-instated and AT given the chance to build a team capable of the playoffs.

I only had a thread yesterday about positivity, following day takeover talks. I am going to re-emphasise my point, lets get behind Andy and the boys! PUSB

I rarely visit Skyblueuntrust.com, but i did today, while trying to search for any more talkover info.

One of the posters seemed aware of Hoffmans bid some weeks ago.

He suggests that one of the proposed 'consortium' will be a surprise to most Sky Blue fans, but that this person has had no previous dealings with our club, and also that this takeover will happen.

SISU are the debt, essentially. Administration would be highly bizarre.

Not when you think about it remember they are losing 500k a month if they stay in control they are going to sell players to keep us a float each month which is going to reduce our value even more because the only assets the club has is the value of the players. If they sell Clingan and Turner our fans will be in uproar but an administrator would sell players to pay off debts and we would except it. Also any takeover would have to pay Sisu a fee say 10pence in the pound they would walk away with 3million.

All very promising until you realise it was mentioned by the untrust loner known as 'the boss'. He is known as a fickle wind up merchant and probably gets 1 in 100 predictions correct. He claims to live in Tenerife but resides in Spon End. Salt pinch take a with of.

That's not really how it would work. The debts are already with SISU, administration would be them needlessly throwing their own money down the drain. Unless they're faced with no other option this is highly unlikely to happen.

There must be a price that they are willing to accept based on the debt , if they are holding out for 30mil then that will never happen.

The best they can hope for is a small token of funds and that they will be released from any future debt which would come as part of the sale.

Chinese investors sound too good to be true and does hoff have the funds that would allow some signings in the transfer market? I'm being pessimistic about this as with cov it always turns to shit and leaves us gutted.

Hoff won't actually be putting money in to my knowledge, he's just the facilitator to our Communist brothers and the face of the group. I'm quietly confident about this, SISU realise that Elliot was a big PR setback and will now quietly get out of town.

What it means for the squad, we'll wait and see.
