Reading in the Telegraph about Bigi / Gadzev. It looks as if Bigi is going to step in with Gadzev when McCann goes.

Still think we could do with somebody nasty in there to call upon when needed.

I think Fleck was our nastiest player. Vincelot looked the part and threw himself around, but Fleck was good for at least 10 yellows per season for a snide trip.

Depends which half of the season you are on about. Certainly not the one against Sam Morsey where he looked petrified of him.

Yeah obviously it was a tongue in cheek comment from me but seriously I thought vincelot was great for us. Had a few dodgy games but who doesn't. End of the day he was a good footballer for this division and what we needed. The fact he went to a better club than us for more money shows he is a liked by others also. What was Bradford response? They couldn't believe we let him leave. I still don't really get selling him.

Anyway let's move on yes I agree Nick a steely midfielder would be great but for now I am happy with bigi McCann Stevenson and gadzev to fill 2 centre mid spots. I would have bigi and McCann as my first choice.

We are very weak in that department now and will be weaker when McCann goes, can't blame sisu for that down to team building I'm afraid.

I see past that. He was a good solid footballer for this level and did a job for us. He went shit second half of the season well so did Armstrong and Murphy? I would still want them here mind

Exactly and if they were our players you would want them to be still here because of the first half of the season. You would hope they could learn from that season and progress, especially with a couple of additions to the squad.

We have targeted a few players and given them longer contracts. It might be we have to accept a bit of a holding season while they bond and gel then with a couple of additions next summer push on. I would rather that than the annual rip it up and start again policy we have had for a number of years.

Hopefully, Ivor Lawton can fill that role when he comes back. Give him a couple games for the Under 23's and then get him biting League One ankles when he's back to full fitness.

He played in an O's team that finished 3rd, played in our team that should have made play offs and is now in the Bradford team that will make play offs at least. He's a good pro at this level. I can understand letting players go to bring others in but when we still have budget left and are shopping in free transfers, I'm no less confused by it.

I think people should ask themslves, if Vincelot was one of the ones available on a free now, would they want him back? Overwhelming yes from 75%+ I would think.

Certainly a contender as a squad player at this stage in his career.
