Has anyone done their CCNA certification?

Work is sponsoring me and some others to be certified and I think it takes on average 6 months to prepare for the exam and to complete the set labs. The aim is to expedite that and become certified in 3 months.

Has anyone done this before and has any tips? I've bought myself a few Cisco switches to practise on so that should give me a good starter for ten.

No but do a lot of cisco stuff at work, looked into it a while back but wouldn't really benefit.

Yeah I can understand why it wouldn't be relevant to some, suppose it jut depends on your line of work


For me I could be building large LAN networks within businesses so really do need to have a solid understanding of routing and switching. My knowledge so far is high level so hopefully will come out of this with a decent understanding.

Looks like Cisco are taking over the world too!
