The Importance of Jay Dasilva

His recent suspension has only served to highlight his growing importance.

I made this point several times recently. His importance to how we play is seriously underestimated.

It has been laid bare for all to see in the last three games though.

Shhhh you will get ridiculed by some for that.
He is very important to Grimes especially,as he 9 times out of 10 gives him an out ball when he’s under pressure.
As we have all seen in the last 3 games.

Think we win against Southampton & Charlton without JDS getting the red card - frustrating but our own fault for not getting a suitable back up in the summer

Now he’s back I expect us to kick on after the FA Cup game. If he’s ever out again I want KKH filling in

He’s an incredibly important part of our system and his strengths have finally been utilised properly in building chances and getting us up the pitch.

Grimes, EMC, Torp and Rudi all very reliant on his retention and distribution

I will be glad when he is back, and he is important to how we play, but due to a few shit results we are putting too much emphasis into it.

Having four or five players on the pitch not putting in the required effort and not doing the basics isn't down to missing JDS, for example.
