Right on, Otis. Get people to register too for using WiFi and they'll sort out their marketing lists too. Phones autologin too don't they so they'll be able to tell who's been and who hasn't. They can then email and ask them why and what they can do to encourage them back. Like you say the odd prize wouldn't hurt them either.

Yeah, that too. A few jumping out of my seat moments would be nice. So would Wifi.

Free wifi would be excellent. Good shout that, Torch.

If there was free wifi they could then get fans to vote for their MOTM during the game, as it draws to the close. Open lines on say 80 mins and maybe have a raffle prize drawn from all the numbers who voted. A signed shirt or something.

Might get people staying in their seats a while longer and not leaving on 75 minutes.

They have brought a similar feature into the Odeon Cinemas, where people log into an app called Cineme i think during the trailers, then get ready to answer some questions on screen to win prizes.

The above would work at HT with the ideas you and Torch have suggested.

You both need to get in contact with Dragons Den, because you're onto something

If the powers that be said 'we don't have a clue' and took ideas from fans on board imagine how things could be!

To go from that message on a forum to a club with a waiting list for season tickets is something!

This thread has been quite worrying quickly reading through it.

Some of you need to take a look at yourselves, but others have good suggestions ie former games being screened at H/T would be good.

Flags balloons etc might be me sounding mean, but nah your alright want that go and watch the franchise.

Others have mentioned players signing autographs, I am sure the family zone has had players on several occasions doing this last season.

Suppose it is good the club have posed the question though, weather they act on anything is a different matter.

One of TM's demands was to improve the match-day experience right? It will be interesting to see what they come up with... I suspect we shouldn't expect more than a bit more sky blue livery about the place but you never know.

I can't see much wrong with stacks of flags and all that paraphernalia , it certainly looks good at the likes of Anfield and all over Europe, especially in the German stadiums. What have we got now ? a dozen lads and lasses around the drum and a further 150 youth at the back sticking their two fingers up at the away fans from a mile and a half away !

Indeed.

What would we rather, people at least trying to think of or suggest something, even though it might be a little daft, or people not suggesting anything at all, cause they know people on here will be jumping all over it and making a mockery?

I, myself, appreciate anyone at least trying to think of something, whatever that may be.

From the daft ideas will form some great ones!

Agreed. I must admit I found having to defend myself for daring to make a few suggestions rather deflating yesterday. It turned into hard work!

It was. Very disappointing that people felt the need to be so negative and diss stuff out of hand.

The way I see it is, yes, someone might have thought of fairground rides, but we all know that is totally impractical, but from that someone could then come up with this. .....

Which could well work in the kids zone.

That's the thing though Otis, I don't remember anyone mentioning 'rides' as a serious suggestion but next thing you know I am being accused of suggesting Waltzers n shit!
I posted a similar picture to yours and it was called a 'monstrosity' I reckon if you put one of those inside the ground the kids wouldn't get near it for the grown men!

*sky blue identity, we need to be more like Borussia Dortmund with their “yellow wall”. Have sky blue flags or plackards(whichever is cheaper) available on seats so we look like a sea of sky blue. The only time ricoh has ever felt like home was when we played Chelsea in fa cup and we had flags, signs or confetti everywhere.

*BETTER music. Come to out to truly monumental music, be it movie sound tracks or war music. We need to stop being push overs to the opposition.

*pictures of legends hung up inside, can be taken down after to avoid issue with wasps games

*get rid of JD on the mic. Have some ball skill freestylers out for half time. Or bring back kick for cash

I didn't say you mentioned rides by the way, it has been mentioned in this thread.

That sort of thing branded up as CCFC is a good idea as it is CCFC and football related, the kids party had something like that but it tracked the speed of the shot and the kids were having a go trying to beat the players.

It would need to be outside in the carpark though somewhere but I agree, one of those with Sky Blue Sam on.

So we're still on for Monkey Butlers then?

On a serious note and back on topic, something that racecourses up and down the UK have done in recent years, is bring music acts into their courses after an evenings racing. Goodwood, one my local tracks, has 3 evening meetings every June, on 3 consecutive Friday nights. In the past 5 years, they've booked DJs/Dance Acts such as Mike Skinner, Zane Lowe, Idris Elba etc etc to play after racing has finished. Given the nature of the course and their facilities, it doesn't require ample staging and could be something done in the Jag Hall or car parks at the Ricoh.

Probably the worst suggestion on here but I've not really thought it through. Just an idea though if Fisher etc wants to work on it. Cheers.

What they should also do is for the JSBs, they should do a "matchday pack" they get when signing up to JSBS either free or a voucher to get one cheap.

One of these - http://uk.alibaba.com/product/1191846932-Wooden-Football-Rattle.html in Sky blue with sams head
A kids scarf?
Maybe gloves?

Could also do a CCFC drinks bottle / lunchbox inside it but not sure if that would be dodgy encouraging people to take their own?

throw in one of those CCFC gym bags where you pull the rope to shut it to put it all in as well.

For less than $1 each, they can throw those rattles around as prizes all day!

They should try and use Sky Blue Sam more, he is the kids side of CCFC. Brand more on him.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on JD. Rather have SL or the bloke who did it at HR who sounded like he'd just smoked a thousand fags. Failing that, James Earl Jones.

I remember when Sky first started they used to have acts on before a game. The first time we were on I think was away at Forest, we were there and those little kids who used to wear their jeans on back to front were on. Absolute rubbish.

Maybe it was there then. There was another crap group at the City Ground. I'd imagine there's a website somewhere dedicated to this kind of thing.

It's ok granddad...the music would be aimed at the nippers, not old folk like you and I! Just another gimmick to get the youth of today/supporters of tomorrow up to the ground. Bolt on something else they're in to.

Didn't local bands used to play at HR? No one even bothered listening half the time.

Bands have been on at the Ricoh too, one not long ago near the away fans in that space. Was awful, nobody paid any attention.

Get Billy Bell in to MC every game, I'd be happy with just that to be honest.

Well, unless the remaining members of the Beatles and Pink Floyd play at our first game then I'm out. NOPM from me. That ST will be returned.

Ahhh, it reminds me of going to a dodgy old social club when he speaks.

We do need to be rid of JD though and the over politeness to the away fans.

I thought our first Sky game was at home to Spurs, with Sonia as the "entertainment" together with skydivers and fireworks.

1-0 win, with John "he's so fast it's unbelievable" Williams scoring.

Correct.

Going back further didn't Jimmy Hill introduce various bits of pre match entertainment in the 60s?

It was just before my time, but I remember reading about marching bands, RAF dog teams and other such "gimmicks".
