Coventry City Football Club Ltd likely to be liquidated following rejection of administrator's CVA proposal

It is with great regret that a proposed Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) has been rejected by Arena Coventry Limited (ACL).

It means CCFC Ltd is likely to be put into liquidation which is expected to result in a points penalty for the club going into the new season.

The football club and the Alan Higgs Centre Trust accepted the administrator’s CVA, but the City Council, through ACL, have chosen to reject it – leading to possible liquidation and the risk of a 15-point deduction.

The club will hold urgent meetings with the Football League this afternoon to go through the next steps for the football club.

It is asking a lot to recover from a points deduction with a strength-in-depth lacking squad full of youngsters. Relegation clearly beckons. Gutted

As i have said before the arseholes at the FL have broken so many of their own rules i just dont know what they are likely to do now, 10 , 20 , 30 points or even relegation .
Would't surprise me if they just drop everything into a hat and pick something out !

Talk about bias in communications.
How about "because it was rejected by ACL and HRMC" .............. ?

Wasn't it rejected by ACL/CCC because Sisu refused to accept their (pretty fair) rent offer plus 10 year lease? Makes you wonder if ACL and the council understand that it's only CCFC LTD in admin and not holdings, who basically own everything concerning ccfc apart from the golden share which is currently with the FL? Saying that I have little hope that the FL will award the golden share to anyone but Otium/Sisu, and unfortunately that seems to leave you exactly where you are now but with an added points deduction and no chance at all of playing at the Ricoh whilst SISU are in charge.

What a mess, and I truly feel for all of you.

I'm sure ACLs statement will be similarly biased in their communications...probably be on the lines of doing it for the fans..

SISU/Otium to meet with FL today...what's best for CCFC won't be on the agenda for either of these scumbag organisations.
