Hey, sorry for a rather boring thread but would like some help.

I'm wanting to order one of the Talbot retro range shirts and was wondering if anyone knew if these fitted true to size or more small/big?

I'm usually a M or L depending on fit or look (around a 39 chest) but being based in Denmark I don't have the luxury of trying it on in store or being able to return easily.

Any advice/input would be great, cheers!

I’d suggest getting a medium as they are usually quite loose fitting. I bought one in my usual size and I had to take it back to get a smaller one as it was too big.

Definitely not large. You'd be needing a borderline small if you are a 39 inch chest. Medium probably though although it will be a touch baggy.

Yep would agree with other responses. I bought a tee in a size larger than I would normally buy and it looked like a tent on me.
I suspect most garments are on the 'generous' size.

I agree with the above. I bought a Talbot T shirt. I'm a 40' chest and M is fits ok.

I’m usually a large and the Pony retro shirt was more like an XXL.

Why are the Pony shirts massive? It says a small has a 53 inch chest.

Even small ponies are generally more broad-chested than your average person

When you see a shirt you always think of a player I thought Cobi Jones for some reason.

Speakng to the store manager about this a couple of weeks ago.

Reason is to ensure that the shirt is as close to the original as possible - including sizing (the shirts were huge back them)

Same with the material, it’s different from the Hummel retro to the umbro retro, for example.
