Well it read to me as: Good to see, the players that did visit.
I can see why you mean he's clarifying about Ricketts, but can you not see that the punctuation makes it look like he's saying THE players visiting? As in specifically praising the 3 players that went?

It just looks pretty clear he was clarifying he means it was good about players visiting and not the other thing, which was Ricketts.
Where was the kit man, physio, the board,sky blue Sam, etc etc..

Coventry City FC In previous years the whole squad have visited - this year, the hospital asked that only 5 went, as this has less impact on the day to day running of wards. However, the full squad donated to get their gifts for the wards. PUSB
