Anyone remember football?

Coventry City are reported to be in the hunt for Fleetwood Town winger Gareth Evans.
The 24-year-old has impressed during his short time at the League Two club since his arrival from Rotherham in January on a short-term deal.

Evans will be a free agent in the summer ans Sky Sports report that Sky Blues and Yeovil Town have both expressed an interest.

But Fleetwood are keen to keep the former Bradford City man with boss Graham Alexander a big admirer of the 6ft-tall attacking midfielder.

See no reason why any player would agree to join with the off field situation so uncertain. It cost us last summer and will do so again if it's not settled soon.

Transfer speculation.
That's a novelty who is hunting for him
SISU who can't get him
Or
Haskell who can't buy him as he can't get an answer from the administrator

No point even being interested in players until we are out of admin/embargo.
Might as well say we are interested in messi and Rooney just as likely options in our current situation.
When will people learn ?

Yeah, being interested in that Fleetwood winger is as likely as wanting to sign Messi.

Doesn't the CT realise that this report makes them look like idiots and out of touch with the current situation!!!!

Maybe they just credit their readers with enough nous that 'if we ever get the transfer embargo lifted' doesn't need saying because it's obvious.

As it is in their "gossip" section I would say it does not......

Have you read the article on the telegraph site?

If not why are you making such a comment, if so, read it properly before offering a critique.

Coming out of the embargo yes, but the ownership, and to a lesser extent, manager issue is a lot more unclear.

Coventry born and bred Gareth Evans 1987
middle row far right next to Pickering
Evans left and later joined Hibs and later along with Houchen they played in europe with Hibs.

Different year same shit.

We identify players SISU ensure we cant get them should be used to it by now FFS.

Sure he will do well at Yeovil.

quick question

if we got Collins, it may have meant we wouldnt have got McG.

Would we be better off ?

Ooh, I like him. Was great as a youngster at Macclesfield. Very good in the air and versatile-started up front, can play in the "hole", and now out wide. Interesting target if true; the move to Bradford wasn't a massive success (hell, it was hard to be one given the mess the club was at the time). And he has the bonus of sharing his name with that striker we sold to Hibs in the 80's.

Sorry but it does seem pointless having transfer speculation

Just about to be a homeless club
Homeless academy
Administration
Transfer embargo

Kinda can't really see the point unless it is who the potential new owners fancy.

Hypothetical unanswerable question we will never know.

I think if we had signed Collins and that meant we didn't get DMC then yes probably worse off.

Was the original plan not to have both?

But we missed Collins due to SISU not submitting the books.

Would we have been better off with both than no Collins and waiting a while to get DMC?

I've seen collins various times... He's a good striker, but as an overall player he is not in the same league as DMC.

I'm not sure you understand what 'hypothetical' means going by that post.
