Yet all 4 managers we had last year, all clearly preferred Burge. Indeed Robins who most fans seemingly rate,(well currently at least), clearly didn't rate Cooke at all, hence the addition of O'Brien. It is true a number of dedicated posters clearly hated Burge, and preferred Cooke,I'm not sure that fairly represented how most fans felt though.

I preferred RCC but there wasn't really a lot between him and Burge. The main thing for me was that defenders appeared more comfortable in front of RCC than Burge. For some reason Burge sometimes seems to inspire them to get the jitters and make mistakes. To be fair, two obvious errors aside, so far LOB seems to have inspired more confidence in his defenders. It maybe a personality thing?

Well that's not true. Mowbray always preferred RCC and not sure the favouring of Burge by Venus and Slade is anything to shout from the rooftops about. Looked to me at the time that Robins did the classic 'The jersey is yours to lose' with Burge and then when RCC had his rumoured tantrum over the cup final, decided to bring LO'B in.

Exactly. As I pointed out, the comment all 4 preferred Burge is wrong. RCC started the season under TM and kept his place, playing every single game until Mowbray left.

Venus we all agree was clueless. What happened then and quite often DOES happen, is a new manager comes in and tries not to change too much at first. Don't think that at all that necessarily points to Burge being preferred by Slade.

Robins came in and there is a suggestion of a falling out. Not sure if that is true it not, but it most certainly is not clear at all.

I thought he'd said something about conforming now though in his return post. Would be unlike him to make a typo.

I'd heard he chucked his toys out the pram when he was told Burge was playing the final, having played all the previous rounds (which did seem harsh). Thought it seemed a bit obvious at the time so didn't pay it much attention but subsequent actions do seem to support it.

The club really are being a tease after that last tweet. Waiting a lifetime...

It's like babestation when the money runs out. Do I keep paying in the hope that something will happen, or do I just switch off and go to the pub?

The good news is that it was re-tweeted by a fitty by the looks of it. Maybe she'll take pity on me and give me a hand shandy instead of a real one I would have had at the pub.

No more signings

After thirteen additions to the #SkyBlues squad our business has now finished in this transfer window. #PUSB

Are they trolling? Is it that baker can sign tomorrow as he's a free agent so it's not technically in the window? Do I still care?

I wasn't expecting anything at all until Robins said we might have won the lottery.

One out and one in doesn't point to a windfall does it.
