But on this occasion only 33% of the previous successful coaching team remain. Big difference.

Counting the hours, the fans all stew,
Uncertainty brews, what will they do?
Coventry’s faithful, eager to see,
Keen for the name that will set them free.

Some grow restless, their patience thin,
Idle whispers spread within.
Managers come, and managers go,
Perhaps this time, we’ll strike a blow.

Lingering doubts creep into view,
Only triumph will see us through.
Waiting for news, we hold our breath,
Tomorrow brings hope—or more regret.

Impatient hearts beat loud and true,
News delayed, but dreams renew.
Coiled in hope, we wait for the sign,
Each Sky Blue soul ready to shine.
Longing for glory, our time divine.

Why would the head of player recruitment and the performance director be interviewing for head coach? Wouldn’t head coach be senior to them?

No, the actual question is why would 2 people who work in different departments be interviewing for a head coach.

Whilst this is more aimed at some fans rather than the owner (although it may still be applicable), also see similair logic: 'We're too far behind and too far into the season to expect a playoff push now'.

Should have just let Robins try to turn it around if you're just going to write the season off like that.

If the owner has lost confidence in the manager then it’s in no-one’s interests to keep him around.

Better to give the next regime time to get their feet under the table - I won’t have much time for excuses about the manager needing time to adjust next season if that’s how it pans out.

What part of the original point was refusing to see why a manager might be sacked? I was talking about sacking a manager without having a plan in place.

Just gone back and read it. Fairplay you talking about keeping interim in place rather than lampard

Still you could still see it from pov that 1 step back for 2 steps forward would help us avoid relegation

Not saying I disagree with you but just see so many posters only thinking worst case scenario when it comes to the owner that's all

Who said that you fucking clown? You're assuming I meant that, they are taking the interviews you daft twat.

Let's remember all of this when we are doing fucking garbage in 3 months time.

If Lampard defies his own career record with us i will hold my hand up and say wow a football fan making a bad judgement, never!

But as soon as you and all the talking points say "well he did well with Derby"

Go ask the County fans how it went. They were shit for the most part, they relied heavily on Wilson and Mount to come up with individual brilliance. The Football the played wasn't good.

Lampard bangs on about he loves to improve and prefers workin with the young players, go and watch his interviews.

Let's have this right then we all believe Lampard is going to do a better job improving Bassette, Simms etc than what Robins and Ady?

The whole point of getting rid of Robins was to get a better fucking manager or head coach. If you believe that is Lampard then you're a fucking idiot.

I do hope you didn’t go to Wembley for the Play off Final because that season Big Vik and Hamer dragged a pretty average team to the final. That’s what big players can do for you.

Did you criticise Robins then or like the rest of us did you just get totally wrapped up in the feel good factor ??

If the new manager comes in and 2 players drag us into a play off final again I’ll be very happy.

They are very impressed with interviewees.
Great at interviews does not mean good at the job, in fact often the opposite. Bullshitters often get the job.

We were never expected to achieve this tho, Derby County were, they had a squad of Mount, Timori, Wilson, Huddlestone, Waghorn, Bradley Johnson, Jaden Bogle, Tom Lawrence and a few others. They were stacked with talent.

To be fair if you look at the teams above them, that whole championship was stacked.

Not arguing for Lampard but as Ian hasn’t told me he’s got the job assuming that’s who we’ve got

i Can’t remember a season in the championship where we’ve played brilliant football either and we depended on gykores and hamer to do something in most games, cant really compare Lampard and robins they’ve both done ok at the levels they’ve managed, guarantee you’ll see a different team under Lampard if he gets it, watch players find that extra effort that they weren’t giving robins

I’d argue we played some amazing football in the 21/22 season.

But every team depends on there best players to perform and produce moments of magic after all the managers job is to get the best out of them.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see extra effort under lamps or whoever comes in.
