Looks to be some work to commence on the floodlights at the stadium and stand lighting in the near future. Hopefully audio is next.

Wasn't there something in the administrators documentation when Wasps went tits up that the floodlights weren't up to the required standard anymore, especially for TV games.

Did they do some patching up or just left it till now and hoped for the best?

Hope we don't end up with one of those shitty light shows.

Wonder if they'll upgrade to a PL spec?

Yes, they aren't bright enough for 4k TV.

If we had got promoted in 2023 they wouldn't have been up to PL spec and would've had to be replaced.

They will have the ability for light shows. Fans need to make their voices heard if they're against that!

Unless I’m wrong reading the advert sounds like both us and Frasers are putting in for the works?

Whole ground Needs a good clean, and a coat of paint wouldn’t hurt, it’s looking a bit battered

Think they’ve started a clean externally. Would be interesting to see where the ground is in five years time if they investment is continued

They did the start of the season, were doing the white frames with brushes think they gave up, go past it most days and it’s looking old, and the remains of the wasps badges need to go,

Definitely needs a lot of work. Mental what years of underinvestment can do to a ground.

But good to see that work starting to be done especially if we have a hand in it.

The amount of routine maintenance that hadn’t been done for years when they took over was insane.

No surprise it’s taking a few years just to get things back up to standard but it’s a world away from what it was and no sign of the improvements stopping.

Now if they could find a way to make it possible to buy a cup of tea at half time without missing half the game things would really be looking up

The cladding they installed on the exterior of the CBS was not the right colour blue, in my opinion. Ironically, now it’s faded and although it looks tired, it’s possibly more akin to what it should have been in the first place. Towards the final years of Highfield Rd., the colour, paint, and fixtures, seemed to reflect us a club more than the CBS does now.

I wouldn’t object to the lights being turned off in the build up to the game. I think that can be quite atmospheric.

It’s just all the flashing on and off that I think looks cringe

Flashing lights, have they not give it any thought to someone who might suffer from photophobia, or photosensitivity.

And yes they are medical conditions.

If both sides are spending on upgrades then it would seem we will be long term which is good news.

I'm pretty sure we have to give the EFL confirmation of where we are playing for the next 10 years soon so will be interesting

Where has this been said out of interest? Or is this from a source?

If they're thinking of upgrades they could think about providing phone reception for the O2 network in and around the stadium.

I can never get a connection until I get to the arena shopping car park.

It’s network contention not coverage that’s the issue. Nothing you can do about 30k people in one cell.

Exciting tender opportunity at the CBS Arena!

Sounds more like someone being offered a quickie behind the bins.

Give everything a good old clean and, as others have said, get rid of the remnants of the W**** signage.

I’ve always hated the “brickwork” that surrounds the ground - but don’t suppose that’s coming down soon.

Concourses and inside the ground doesn’t look too bad, to be fair.

Think this only applies to teams trying to join the EFL from the national league and doesn’t have a bearing in clubs in the league.

But looking at this and other improvements don’t think we’ll be moving anywhere soon unless Doug decides to have a peak at the top secret stadium plans

A good light show can be very atmospheric, so long as it's not just flashing lights! Celtic have a very impressive one I've noticed, as do Spurs. Not that arsed if we have it or not, I'd imagine it's just an upgrade for 4k TV, as well as it's probably more economical than some old expensive floodlights from the early 2000s. Did hear that there's a bit of a push to make it a 'greener' stadium by Fraser's
