Yeah, it has been said...

People are too busy trying to come up with random scenarios where CCFC pay 500k for a pitch just before it's rented out for concerts and CWG so it isn't wasps fault.

I think City should pay for the pitch.
It's not about clearing wasps of any blame, it's about getting our season going before it turns totally to shit and ends up costing us millions and possibly the manager.
There's plenty of time for pursuing wasps for the costs.

With what money?
Who then owns the pitch?
What happens about the upcoming Rugby rental?
What happens if Wasps go into admin after CCFC have just forked out for the pitch?

It isn't as simple as CCFC just paying for it all and then trying to get it back after.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing though is it. A third party landlord wouldn’t put one parties needs above another so possibly more even handed. Wouldn’t have Wasps bonds round their necks. You don’t think it makes sense for CCFC to own this stadium so wouldn’t 3rd party ownership potentially be the best option.

no, the issue it seems is due to poor maintenance there is little to no root system meaning it will come up in clumps underfoot

It really is that simple, yes we may end up getting stung, forgive the pun, but
we're going to be in deep shit if we don't start playing games soon.

"We've talked to Wasps about helping to try and fund a new pitch," Boddy said. "But the relationship we have with them is that they have to provide us with a pitch that is fit for purpose."

Boddy said Wasps had not given him a reason why they would not lay a new surface.

"We've triggered the disputes mechanism in our agreement so it will now be taken to a third party for resolution," he said.

"We're all frustrated and it's not helping anyone at the club."

FUCK the WASP CUNTS they need to GOOOOOOO Now they are the worst Enterprise ive ever known.

It’s not simple at all ( or fair ) but say it’s actually only going to cost £50k then it will be worth it to save the season and all the lost revenue.

In a sense it is simple if we pay for the repair or replacement and it means we start to get money in assuming we won’t get any back. I don’t think ccfc have the funds and if sisu loaned the money I’m not sure they’d be happy to not get any back.

Fundamentally Nick is bang on with this - it needs to be made acceptable to use for Saturday or a rethink is required.

It's always said close season is the dangerous time for a football club with cash flow, hence why good season ticket sales help immensely.

We're already in danger of being a month behind everyone else in cash flow however, with extra expenses coming thick and fast as a result. If we did end up moving (and / or not playing games for a while) how much patience do those season ticket holders have too, until they start to demand their money back?

Worrying, innit. The only 'good' thing I could see is if somehow, some miracle saw Wasps' bond default and have to be settled, and we ended up taking the stadium as settlement for our losses. If this were our first time around and that was the 'plan' I might be more sympathetic to that, but we're here time and time and time again, and after a while...

We haven’t got time, money or resources on our side. Already by the end of this weekend we’ll be 3 games down on the rest of the league and it’s not even September. The question here is which is the lesser evil needed for us to get a playable surface in the quickest time. Already the 3 postponements and 1 cup game moved to another ground have cost us likely more than a new pitch.

Hard to see what the right answer is.
The right answer is to get it playable ASAP, which is exactly what the groundstaff are doing as we speak.
The club are hopefull that this will be achieved by next week.
Then we will need to rearrange the cancelled fixtures, put in an ongoing heavy maintenance plan, and (hopefully) pursue our landlords through the courts for damages.

If its an issue of replacing the pitch, Maton just needs to get a few of the council trucks and bung a few of the bin men to dig up part of Coundon Park and pile it on the CBS car park. Wasps can do the rest. Partners for life.

If we’ve exhausted all other options, and our only choices are either a groundshare away from Cov, or paying for the pitch ourselves, why wouldn’t we take the cheaper option?

But where does that leave the lease? Golden share part 2 could be - Wasps holdings go bust but Wasps Ltd have the golden share.

the lease is in Wasps Holdings isn’t it? So what - he busts the lease company and fucks off to London or wherever with the rugby team but without the debt?

would that bankrupt ACL as it resides in Wasps Holdings?

That's the thing, how much of it is actual manual work and how much is just waiting for the grass to grow?

Pretty sure loads of people would get down and help if it meant getting the games on.

I mean one thing is for certain, after this whole shit show no sane person can deny that Wasps regard CCFC with nothing other than complete contempt.

They do not give a single fuck about us and whilst most people on this board knew that anyway, they still embarrassingly tried to push PR saying they wanted to partner with us and all that shit. They’ve now truly alienated the population.
