There’s no way wasps are going to relay the pitch in 6 weeks rugby school have just had a new sand based pitch laid and it might look great from a distance but close up it’s just as patchy as the cbs and that’s been growing for over 8 weeks with continuous watering , also it cost over £300000 although there was a lot more work involved with drainage etc

More worrying is the fact no one seems to be out there working

It's a fixture reversal for Bristol City but not sure what happens after that.

You can't tell from that view anyway, it has to be closer up really.

Why isn't it being watered?

I'm guessing while it's bathed in sunshine they leave it be. They'll put the lights on it at night and water most of the day. Not sure what more they can do really.

Cannot believe in a couple of days we've gone from looking forward to a crowd of around 20,000+ at the CBS for the first home game of the season to potentially playing at St Andrews for a few weeks again. Madness

Based on that about 10% of that pitch is knackered . Surely fixable in a couple of weeks ?

Totally different circumstance this time if we play at St. Andrews for a bit again I’ll definitely be going.

Pretty sure I heard Boddy saying it looked ok from above but at ground level it doesn’t.

Look closely and it isn't great but it's still a better option than moving matches and postponements.

The EFL will push for it to be played on that pitch.

From a distance yes most of it looks playable. But up close is probably a different story. And the angle of the photo will hide some of the bare patches.

Because what you’re being told never seems to match up with what’s being reported

It would not. It would be an embarrassing disaster. I doubt I'd attend personally.
