Pressley:

“For an hour the system gave us absolute domination and created a lot of good opportunities. We should have scored several more goals but that’s not down to the formation we were playing.”

"
some of our play was really pleasing, the attitude of the players was terrific and the pitch helped us because we could play our passing game in the manner we wanted"

Implying that the formation is responsible for the good things but not the bad. How does he know that?

And if our players were terrific, that doesn't sound like they are responsible for not scoring goals either. Nor the pitch. So what is the cause? Ideas on a postcard.

We created 1 chance of note in the first hour - mcqoid's snap shot. Should have been 3-0 down at half time. He watched a completely different game to me.

This division is terrible and while I believe our squad is not as good as last years I don't think its as bad as our league position and form suggests. That then leaves either a lack of effort and / or motivation or tactics. Both of those are SP's responsibility.

Pressley is getting to the point when he can't be taken seriously anymore. I am going to start getting tickets behind him as he must be watching a much better game than I am opposite

We dominated the first hour yet still got booed off at half time?
Pressley actually said, they dominated the first half an hour but after that it was all us for 60 mins...

Which in my opinion is very true, although admittedly we didnt look like scoring, as it seemed as though our players were scared to have a shot or try a killer ball.

We don't look like conceding, their goal was lucky.

we seriously need new attacking midfielders in January, as our current lot don't seem to cut it going forward.

They had a chip shot that just went wide , they should have scored , they also fire a shot across the box that just missed the far post , and just missed the forward coming in, again they should have scored , we didn't in the first hour get anywhere near there goal, it was only when we went two up front and a bit more direct that we looked a threat , everyone in the ground could see that apart from sp

We play a high tempo, quick passing, pressing game.

Translation: We pass the ball as fast as we can to the opposition so that they can keep us under pressure.

They shouldn't have scored the chip shot, it was good play by fleetwood but allsop was out quick enough to pressurise him and so severely limiting his chances of scoring, it was a difficult shot to pull off. agree with the shot across goal to an extent.

however Mcquoid could have done better with his chance In the first half. He also had another opportunity which he should have scored where he was basically in on goal on the right and instead of shooting tried chipping it across goal to nobody. Both good opportunities. We should of had a free kick just outside the box in the first half, but ref dkdnt give it. Madine missed a fee header about 10 yards out before he second striker came on. We did have our own chances, and as I said the final decsion was largely poor. We need someone like Baker, moussa, who isn't afraid to try something and create something even if it does mean conceding possession, that's not SP's fault that is down the personal that we have.

We should have been about 3 down by half time. Dominating a game isn't passing it amongst the defenders and midfielders. We dominated when Jackson and Maddison came on, if we had 15 more minutes we would have won I think.

Yep Pressley watched a different game to me. First half was one of the most passionless, effortless, lazy performances I have ever seen. Much better second half when Maddison and Jackson came on
