My 206 Roland Garros edition has had some modifications to it, much to my surprise. It had the panoramic roof and leather interior as standard but it's definitely had a bodykit. Not overly chunky, but it stands out; most other 206's look flimsier and thinner in comparison.

Try and get a pic up if I get a chance, it's in pretty impressive condition for a V-reg. Nippy as well, and I'm thinking it's had modifications to the engine too.

Used to have a 2.5 V6 in that colour. A 325i once tried to take me on along the Northwich bypass...and failed miserably

Blimey O'Riley, you could read a newspaper by driving over it in one of those. Good for the osteopath trade though.

I'm more your Mk.2 Jag type of chap personally, but it's probably a generational thing!

Must say I never really got the 'let's put a body kit on a Nova' thing. Always seemed to me a complete waste of money. A lad I worked with was really into it, the sound system, speakers and bodykit cost 3-4x's the cost/worth of thr car.

Each to their own though.

Good man, me too.
Often think if I managed to scoop the Euro Millions jackpot, what would be on my car bucket list for the 5 berth garage? Current thinking is a 1750 GTV, Beacham Jag MkII, GT3, Lotus Carlton and DB5. Wife can keep the Golf for the shopping.

You'll probably want a cloth or sometihng under the GTV, just to stop the rust staining the carpet.

Totally with you on the others though. I'd have to add a Range Rover and Defender, and possibly a Mercury '49 and an XK150, hmm, and a '78 V8 vantage. And a possibly a Dodge Charger (cf Bullit)....

I may need to win the Euromillions twice, thinking about it.

Another car I've liked for a while. Not to everyone's taste but I like its quirky Japanese looks.
The 1967 Mazda Cosmo 110S.

LOL, any rust on the carpet and the mechanic/butler will be fired.
With you on the Dodge Charger, for my money the real star of Bullitt. Big thumbs up too on the V8 Vantage, maybe with Lord Brett Since air at the wheel?
Not so sure about the Mercury '49 though...the front grille looks like a Great White.

Is that a Lancia?
Anyone remember the handbuilt (fibreglass) I think Gilberns of the late 60's -early 70's.
Still for sale in a different form in West Kensington.

Certainly is, it's a Flaminia Coupe.

Always had a soft spot for Lancias, owned a couple of them myself... but nothing in the league of that!

Would love a Lotus Carlton

Dread to think what a half decent one would cost.

The odd one comes up on Pistonheads every now and again. A rare low mileage one (50k) might fetch £35k.

Whilst working for an Italian company, our Director had a Thema turbo as his company motor and I managed a few drives in it. A big, comfortable cruiser that went like a bat out of hell. Shared floor pan with the Saab I think.

Well yeah, but it's just for that money unless you had money to burn you wouldn't want to drive it. Same as if it was another old classic.

Would be the odd blast on a weekend

Did indeed. That and the Alfa 164... and Fiat Croma(!)

Had a Dedra Turbo myself, the thing was superb really and I shouldn't have got rid, really. Just a square box, but used to scare people shitless when it took off, the turbo lag was... enjoyable and its cruising speed was well above the speed limit... apparently.
