I didn't get that far. How could I say a woman I was with attacked me? She was only about 5'6" and slim. I was about twice her weight. Why would anyone believe it? And then to grass......

It was only years later when I wondered if she did it to anyone else. Looked at it differently then.

Natalie Pinkham is basically the same person without the headache and the trip to Ikea for a new lamp.

Not really grassing when you've been assaulted and there's young kids in the house.

The phrase ‘grassing’ is so cringeworthy, only said by bellends in my opinion. Someone breaks the law and it directly affects me or I see it directly affecting someone else the police are being informed. ‘Grassing’ for fuck sake. Ha ha.

Like I said it was many years ago. I had a different mindset then.

Growing up in the 'select' council estates in Coventry rule 1 was 'don't grass'. Rule 2 was 'don't grass'. It stays with you until you learn different. That was why I felt guilty years later on not doing anything about it in case it happened again.

You grow up. You learn.

I would say the one on the left but the one on the right would be my choice.

1, As I said I was much younger. Grew up without a father figure. Single parent and my mother worked. I have said several times before on here that I was a twat when I was younger. I only started to grow up when the kids came along.

2, Didn't have kids at the time. I had kids before I got married. Have been married a long time. We were also together a fair bit before getting married.

Yes I was a teenager. Not the sharpest tool in the box. But I suppose I am the only one who did anything wrong as a teenager. And yes there was plenty. But I learned from my mistakes and tried my best to make sure none of my kids didn't make the same mistakes. So far so good.

To be fair, up here (Liverpool) snitches are lower than a snakes belly in pretty much the entire population.

So if someone kidnaps your son you don’t call the old bill?

Mugs you?

Fire bombs your house?

How does it work?

More like the criminal fraternity don't 'grass' and nearly everyone else is too scared to tell the police anything in case they are made to testify or anyone finds out they have spoken to the police.

I know exactly how it works. Not exactly what I want ti talk about on an open forum though. It is why Liverpool is becoming a dangerous place to live. And one of the reasons I have moved my family out of the UK.

I live further up north. A couple of hours from Liverpool. And it is affecting where I live directly. Look up 'county lines'.

I hear you. I served a little time in my younger years.

Liverpool seem to control the supply of everything up and down the UK. Crazy really. I live in a half decent part of town so it's easy enough to keep myself away from it.

Liverpool doesn't supply the UK. But their lines go from Oxford up to parts of Scotland. Manchester is nearly as bad. But now they are treading on each others toes. And I can see it getting much worse.

My other half’s family won the lottery....they had to move out of Toxteth because the main Liverpool families found out and they had to pack up and leave their home and friends. Doesn’t seem to be the same place I knew as a kid. Was in McDonald’s tonight on Aigburth road and about 10 youths came in and got all loud with the staff and talking about their drug runs..everyone n there feeling intimidated .. I thought about stepping in but thought... do I really need this at 52!! So I left with my Big Mac..and me dog....Love the City but there’s def an edge that’s on show far more than I seem to recall!!!

100%

If some c**t has broken the law to hurt me or my family or my friends then fuck 'snitches get stitches', you are going to get the full force in the law in your face.

If only it was as simple as that.

You might live in an area where the police have control. But millions don't. And it is getting worse. I haven't locked my house up for years. Not even when I go away. I never locked my cars for years. But I have locked my house for the first time.

The respect where I live is going. This is starting from the criminal gangs from well away from our area. Drugs are now on the streets. Not only is there less police on the streets but we need more than we did before.

I still don't know anyone anywhere near me who has suffered a burglary. But it won't be long. You can still walk on the streets at any time of day or night safely. But it is changing. I would hate my kids to be in a city these days.

Full force of the law? Not what it used to be.

In part this is because you know who decided to remove 20,000 police from the force over a decade and then also removed people from the prosecution service. But Coventry itself has noticeable changed even over my relatively short lifespan. We got burgled while we were upstairs with the door unlocked and multiple times in our area people had their cars stolen at knife point.

So we moved away even though it now takes us longer to get to work. Would rather that than get more stuff nicked.
