Carlisle and Blackpool next season then?

Hopefully no egg on face, but both a couple of goals down (to Exeter and Luton)
I quite fancied going to Exeter, but some here will be happy with a Blackpool day out!
Done Carlisle once (0-0, back in '75?) Think I celebrated 2 birthdays travelling there and back!

Two belting games. Fair play to Blackpool really dug in then, brilliant spirit.

I can see Blackpool from where I live. But it is still nearly 2 hours away. Carlisle is another local game for me. I can do Exeter in about 5 hours at night. But during the day it is 7 hours or more. So happy to go to the dives

Carlisle is the closest away team for me so that's one away trip for next season, might also make Blackpool depending on when it is plus hopefully a couple of home games

Did a show up by you in the 90's, Lakelands I think it was. Beautiful scenery around there, and yes, I'd prefer to go to the dives because I actually like Blackpool.

We have the lakes to ourselves during winter. Then leave them to the tourists during summer.

Excellent game Luton - Blackpool - cant beat it when you get 11 goals across the two legs - the pitch was a quagmire in the end

Haha, afraid not, 100% English, born in Lincoln & raised in Rugby. I do have a Scottish wife and an Anglo-Scottish son who thanks to my wife's disinterest in sport supports both Coventry & England!! I see myself as a modern day English missionary living in Scotland trying to educate the locals but on the whole it is a fruitless task

It is beautiful up here, but then there are beautiful parts of England too but we probably can't afford to live in those, and I only notice the lack of traffic when I come down the M6 and get past Preston. We are kind of committed to staying here until our son finishes his education, he starts high school next year, but if they ever get independence we will be straight down the M6 and living somewhere within travelling distance of Coventry

I know what you mean about traffic. I moved here from Lincolnshire. A traffic jam was being stuck behind a tractor and having a few cars behind it who wouldn't overtake. Now we hardly have any unless trying to drive through the lakes during summer. I have to keep going to hospital in Cheadle near Manchester. The last 20 miles can't be done in less than an hour.

Can't wait until my youngest 2 are18 and 19. Will be retiring and giving them the house. Will spend the rest of my days touring. Will either be following CCFC everywhere or touring Europe and further.
