I agree there’s no stand out sides at the moment but the standard across the championship has improved a lot. Everyone is having a real go, no easy games. It isn't just how much stronger we now look after bringing in Rushworth. There's so many question marks against all the other sides apart from Ipswich. I certainly can't see 6 sides better than us presently although there's over a month to go of the transfer window. But we also have that same time to improve.
Definitely, it's a good standard league so to be considered one of the better teams in it is great for us considering what we've been through as a club.I agree there’s no stand out sides at the moment but the standard across the championship has improved a lot. Bristol rovers game the other night summed up how far we’ve come so quickly. I remember going there few years ago being 3-0 down in 20 mins. It was a training exercise for us on Wednesday.Definitely, it's a good standard league so to be considered one of the better teams in it is great for us considering what we've been through as a club.
Very good usually but this is a season where the Prem money doesn't look like having as much an effect.I agree there’s no stand out sides at the moment but the standard across the championship has improved a lot. Everyone is having a real go, no easy games.
FLW artificial (un)intelligence don't agree, they have Leicester winning the league. They also have Birmingham finishing 17th and Norwich bottom though.Leicester are in trouble in several ways. They've mortgaged their remaining Prem money to keep going this season. Most of this will go on paying very high wages on players that now don't want to be there but nobody wants to take these players on because of the silly money they got offered. Vardy has gone so they have a lot of goals to replace. Then they have the points deduction to contend with.
After what we have been used to, I am sure he will be forgiven the odd mistake.Look forward to everyone declaring he’s shit and should never play for us again when he makes his first mistake.
As far as i know there isnt a buy option. We already tried buying and they turned it downGood addition Rushworth. I have a feeling we’ll follow up on the buy option as well.

There is no buy option

Because journos these days would say so. Until we know for sure there is one how is anyone commenting like there is? We made an offer to buy him they weren't interestedNo one's seen the contract so how can you say with such certainty that there isn’t a buy option?
Well, all we do know with a reasonable amount of certainty is they turned down £5.5M, that doesn't mean they won't sell him.Because journos these days would say so. Until we know for sure there is one how is anyone commenting like there is? We made an offer to buy him they weren't interested
Leicester are unlikely to get a significant points reduction and will still be a strong contender.
Same with Sheffield United
Southampton and Ipswich will be favourites to finish top 2
With the current players we have I can’t see us getting anything like the points needed for top 2
Once bitten twice shy! They'll want to see how he gets on for sure, we've also got time to see if Dovin comes back. Dovin might well be ok in January but I'm not expecting much from him this season and, hopefully, the club will ease him back gently now we seem to have bought ourselves some time. ACL injuries can be nasty things!Well, all we do know with a reasonable amount of certainty is they turned down £5.5M, that doesn't mean they won't sell him.
So are you advocating paying more than that then even if we do have an option? Ive read from multiple journalists that its a straight loan so im inclined to beleive them.Well, all we do know with a reasonable amount of certainty is they turned down £5.5M, that doesn't mean they won't sell him.
It is just a straight loan. But something could happen in the future. So are you advocating paying more than that then even if we do have an option? Ive read from multiple journalists that its a straight loan so im inclined to beleive them.
Man City are paying £27m to resign James Trafford. Rushworth is seen as a possible future England goalkeeper. Perhaps he’s worth more than £5.5m.So are you advocating paying more than that then even if we do have an option? 4th or 5th at best I'd say.Leicester are unlikely to get a significant points reduction and will still be a strong contender.

In which case we wont be using any option even if it existsMan City are paying £27m to resign James Trafford. Rushworth is seen as a possible future England goalkeeper. Perhaps he’s worth more than £5.5m.
he's too handsome to be a goalkeeper
Top lad. Think we’re going to like him.
is this an accounting con by any chance?Man City are paying £27m to resign James Trafford. Rushworth is seen as a possible future England goalkeeper. Perhaps he’s worth more than £5.5m.

If Trafford had gown to Newcastle or any other club aside the buy back clause Man City also had a clause that would give them 20% of the transfer fee . Hence the fee being lower .Probably not. When Man City sold him to Burnley they inserted both a buy back and a bid matching option. Newcastle bid £27m for him and Man City actioned the bid match. Edison is getting towards the end of his time there so may be they’re thinking ahead.
A bit like that Philogene guy then, basically like a year's loan?Probably not. When Man City sold him to Burnley they inserted both a buy back and a bid matching option. The deal when they sold him to Burnley was also if another club bid for Trafford, MC had to be informed and they could match the other clubs bid and talk to Trafford. City often insert a buy back clause and % of future feesA bit like that Philogene guy then, basically like a year's loan?
