He is possibly one of the greatest players to ever wear the shirt I know people have been slagging him off but I have never doubted his ability. Good for him to prove the doubters wrong

Is the first season you have supported the Cov? If not do you know how stupid that statement is?

Well whoevers Wedding he missed, I thank them (and congratulate them of course). Can they perhaps repeat the event on Tuesday? Or maybe one of his family have a birthday?

Fair play to him, played well last week. Hopefully he will continue to get goals, that's what he did at previous clubs.

2nd leading scorer, leading assists.
Fair play to him.

Maybe a bit over the top, but always puts in a shift and was outstanding today. I like him as a player but seems like a sound bloke too.

One of our best players on his day. No coincidence that our wins tend to come when he has a good day.

He just needs to be consistent.

Shush! Going by SISU's record, if they even get a whiff of money or quality, they'll sell him when the window opens.

What a awful, awful player Baker is.

Maybe we shouldnt judge players on individual games?

Just because a player has a bad game doesn't mean they're bad. Just because they have a good game doesn't mean they're good.

Baker isn't a bad player, but I certainly wouldn't yet put him in the good catagory. He has been inconsistant in the whole time he has been here. After a season of playing well I might put him in the good catagory, but to judge someone (bad or good) on the basis of a few games is wrong.

I would say this season he has been more good stuff than bad on the whole

Maybe, but my opinion of Baker is based on the last 3 years. Baker, Bell, & McSheffrey were the biggest let downs last year, I am happy that he is now playing well, but he needs to keep it going. Otherwise this is nothing but a good spell.

you are absolutely mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes, he's contributed well in terms of assists and goals this season but he is the most inconsistent player i have ever seen play in any clubs shirt, never mind a ccfc shirt, in my life! you're either a 10 year old that's been to his first game today or you have an incredibly short memory! he is awful! his good game:games played ration is about 1:3 and only ever works hard when he can be bothered. what a stupid post! he plays well in one game and all of a sudden he turns into messi! what a joke...

I agree, before this season you would rate Bakers Cov career as 3 maybe? I would say he is a 7 for this season

Due to the high number of bizarre comments that get posted on this board I think its impossible to now seperate the sarcastic from geniune opinions.

I also believe that Michael mcindoe, Julian gray, Michael Hughes and David bell would be the best 4 midfielders for around 15 years.

We won! Can't believe I'm so happy as it was Hartlepool, but keep it up Baker. We could be at Wembley 3 times next year

Yes I agree. Though Tommy Hutchison runs him a close second.

Baker is one of our best players this season and should be one of the first names on the team sheet. You play your form players, it doesn't matter if he has had a bad past couple of seasons, he is playing well now and that's all that matters at this time. People judge him now for bad spells he had in the Championship. Some people can't wait for him to make a mistake and have a bad game so they can get on his back and prove everyone they are right about him. Good move by Robins making him captain.

I think Stephen Hughes was probably better, but him aside, yes definitely the best player ever to wear a CCFC shirt.

To be honest I'm a bit worried that one of the big boys is gonna come in for him.

I am probably bakers biggest supporter (and my dad his biggest critic) but to say he is one of the best players to wear the shirt is too far i rate baker but i have seen better players in the last 3 years of supporting cov.

Keith O'Neil was ahead of him at No.1 I'm afraid

Simply found his level. A good league one player but that's exactly where we are and what we need. Was poor in championship but we'll worry about that if we get back up.

Don't be daft. He's clearly better than Di Stefano, Beckenbauer, Puskas, Moore, Maradona and Pele. And Andy Impey.

I did. He plays in a different position and he was a lot better than Jennings.
