Oh yeah…sorry. What a fucking useless prick he is. He’s essentially robbing us all as soon as he takes to the pitch.

Exactly, we should have invested in Hudlin - we’d be unstoppable now.

Wilson 6
Dabo 5
Rose 8
Doyle 7.5
Panzo 7.5
Bidwell 6
Sheaf 7.5
Hamer 6.5
Palmer 7
Allen 6
Vik 5

Kane 7
Waghorn 5
All the space was down the wings and sadly neither Dabo or Bidwell exploited it enough. Kane had to do zero defending, and his final ball wasn’t great to be honest (7 might be a bit kind) but we looked a lot more dangerous with him picking the ball up there and getting a ball in quickly. Vik tried too much and was occupying spaces other players were in as he got a bit more desperate. He’s allowed the odd bad game with how much credit in the bank he has. Back 3 were pretty much faultless. I thought Gus’ passing was either superb or dreadful. Few terrible balls. Most of what we did well for 70 or so minutes came through Palmer

I imagine as he kept on going on at the ref after he’d been booked they decided to take him off before he got sent off.

Genuinely baffled by the ratings Kane is getting here. 8 crosses... none of which found a city player.

That's because he crossed them into the box, you won't find any city players there!

Kane did alright. I thought Dabo did ok but looked kinda slow at times and I don’t remember him putting many crosses in at all.
All round, we played well enough to win. I wouldn’t want to be a Cardiff fan. My father in-law described them as “toothless”.

I think we’re misusing Palmer. He wants to come deep and have options ahead of him. Vik isn’t a get on a through ball type striker, he wants to wander wide. Can’t believe I’m saying this but maybe Tavares is the best option with Palmer in the 10 role.

Overall we just don’t have enough forward players cos O’Hare can be at both ends of the pitch like Robins likes. Bidwell isn’t forward thinking enough and none of our RWBs really work either so we just don’t have enough players forward.

Dragging Hamer back was fucking criminal though. If Sheaf didn’t have an injury it was a really dumb move.

Palmer is like an Aston Martin DB7

problem is it doesn’t work properly and then when you open the bonnet you find the reason - someone has put a Hillman Imp motor in it. If only the buyer had checked beforehand.

Dabo clearly wasn't fit. It's one thing risking players when there's no other option but its strange doing it when we've got players on the bench for that position.

Maybe Robins thought it was an easier match to get some game time?

If possible I’d like us to sign Kipre as Fadz’s long term replacement. I thought he looked very good. Apparently he’s good with the ball too.

Much like when he watched him get injured against Derby and wouldn't take him off.

The stubborness is terrible.

Thought Bidwell played very well, particularly in the 2nd half. Can’t understand why people were/are saying he’s no threat as he’s started to do exactly what you’d want of a wing back, both in terms of making runs in behind off the ball and arriving at the back post when crosses are coming in from the other side. He’s probably 2nd most common player in the box after Vik.

Yeah you would have thought that as we were using him as an outlet we would commit players into the box.

Based on that cameo last night Kane has been massively under-used this season and dare I say it, treated appallingly by Robins.

He's easily the best right back at the club but has a poor attitude etc. Same story at every club he's been at. Waste of talent.

We knew that last season when he had a consistent run in the team before he completely fell off.

He did ok last night but don't forget all the poor performances he has put in. No idea if Robins has treated him badly and somehow I doubt it. I rate Dabo, Burroughs and Eccles above him and it seems so does Robins.

robins and Viveash do bring some issues on themselves

Kane is known as a difficult character- no secret when signing him and he can’t moan if dabo is then crocked when choosing him even though not fit

Godden and Kelly have a history of injuries so long contract extensions is their issue

Palmer is known to have fitness issues and was paid off by his former club. Yet he seems bewildered he’s not fit enough to play successive matches

Wilson 6 Not much to do

Dabo 5 Amazing it isn’t even lower considering he looked to be badly injured
Rose 7 MOTM Has come on really nicely in recent weeks
Doyle 6 A bit shakier than usual but still decent
Panzo 7 Stepped up nicely again
Bidwell 6 His least impressive game of the season imo

Sheaf 6 Not quite as tidy as usual
Hamer 6 At times looked like the best player on the pitch, then he’d give the ball away
Allen 6 Never really got on the ball, should have scored
Palmer 6 Looked off the pace and doesn’t seem capable of controlling a game

Gyokeres 6 Can’t fault the effort but was totally ineffective

Kane 7 Actually got some joy down that right hand side - his best game of the year
Waghorn 5 No point in playing a #9 who doesn’t score goals or link the play

I thought Palmer was one of our best players last night. With Vik having an off night, being well marked, and getting nothing off the ref, Palmer was the only one that looked like he could spark something. He was equally decent at Sheff Utd when he came on. With O'Hare out for the season now he is going to be a big player for us. 6/10 is a ridiculous rating.

Its accurate - he has to have the ball to feet, never dominates opposition and has zero pace. Last night was a game he should have looked to dominate - on that showing he’s never a o hare replacement

He's simply not dynamic enough.
I like him, but he's definitely no O'Hare replacement.
Robins is definitely going to have to change our playing style.

He wasn't meant to be an O'Hare replacement, he was meant to play alongside him. I don't think anyone could replace O'Hare, he's a totally unique player.

Allen will do the running and Palmer will do the creating. We definitely need reinforcements in that position though.

so if Allen is running and o hare and palmer played together we’d get rid of Sheaf or Hamer?

If we had a fully fit Dabo and Maatsen playing last night, we win that game. Bidwell put in a couple of decent balls in the 2nd half, but Cardiff gave us space out wide, and we just don't have the attacking options in those positions. Kane should of started, and Burroughs should of come on for Bidwell 2nd half.

With everyone fit and firing Allen would be on the bench.

He has no real pace. He’s just an odd signing - he will create some magic now and again which some will latch onto but the way we set up he’s a luxury player and will be ultimately a liability

He’s played far less game time than the rest of the midfield but look at Jamie Allen. Plenty of old posts show me criticising him but you know he will start on Sunday and be full of energy. As will Hamer. As will Sheaf. The fact palmer wasn’t deemed fit enough to start games at the start of the season and now after a break when he’s played a lot less games is pretty telling.

We do odd things given resources. He’s a waste of limited resource unless he sorts out whatever the issue is. It’s not attitude and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing either
