Hopefully doesn't affect fans travel (nearer Swansea), but a heads up (just flashed up on my laptop)

Vehicle fire caused M4 to close in both directions

Police and traffic officers were sent to the scene in Swansea between junction 47 and junction 46

Don't use the bridges. Come off M5 at J8 onto M50 then follow your Sat Navs down to Wye Valley joining the M4 at Newport.
I live in the area so please trust me

M50 currently showing as closed before ross-on-wye on my Google maps.

2nd crossing seems open

Weather is absolutely miserable. Expecting a poor game decided by one goal.

Be good to start the year off with a win here but I’ll go for a 1-1

The only question is, which one of our back four loses their man for that one goal?

I'm going for another 2-2. Rudoni and Simms to score

Infact just seen Cardiff haven’t kept a clean sheet in 11 games.

1-0 Cardiff

As poor as they are, a draw would be an ok result away from home in these conditions. I just want to see some signs of improvement.

2-0 win. Then a loss at Norwich is my feeling.

The defender who is worst at swimming, I reckon.

Cardiff will have seen how Millwall sat in a low block and how we totally struggled to break them down.

If they see a point as a good result then we might see a similar game to Millwall. If they have a bit of a go at us, and being at home you'd imagine they will, then we might be able to find a bit more space.

Surely we'll see Simms start this one.

Any recommendations for pubs in the city centre showing the game tomorrow that I can take a 14 year old in?

Not really a pub but I’ve watched a couple of games in the HMV empire, think they’re showing it. Allows kids and has beer.

In likely awful conditions, the side who can get the ball into the opposition's half/penalty area is likely to win. Need to play 2 up top imo and get Simms/The Hound, running at them. Love some aort of result today. Shout out to those travelling. See you at Naaarwich.

Probably a loss today. No real cutting edge and still have a defensive mistake in us.
Simms needs more game time.

I guess FL would be happy with a draw. He didn't seem that bothered about dropping 2 points against Millwall tbh.
So I imagine the same team and a defensive setup. More boredom.

Happy New Year

Sorry only just woken up so didn’t see that . If the bridges are open then use one of them but if M50 is open it’s definitely the best route.

2 up front please,
And I think Sakamoto should sit this one out as he's been ineffective for a while now, especially away from home, so I think we'll be more narrow and direct than usual. (Not long ball, just moving it forward faster)

None of this backwards, backwards, and sideways shit please Frank, let's be positive and go for it from the off.

Cliche but got to battle today if we want anything. And just a warning before anyone cries about it, the football we play is going to be far from pretty! Not in this weather. Couldn’t care less if we win though.

Yeah spot on, it’s what we didn’t do at all at Pompey, got to win the battle before you can start playing

I need two games in a row of improvement now. So sick of one step forward and two back.
