Massive stack of cash and no pressure or accountability. Nice work if you can get it.

After that first half, I'd have snapped your hand off for a point. Hopefully this window can help the team, and cheer us all up a bit. See you at Norwich (come on FA, hurry up and ban that Sainz!)

Unfortunately CCFC teams of the years gone by win that, dare I say 3 or 4-1

But that’s why they were play off chasing sides and this lot are no more than a midtable outfit

Least the day wasn’t a bust and we didn’t manage to lose the game but everything is just so ‘meh’

3 unbeaten, 1 goal conceded.

But we have been shite.

We are playing a goalkeeper now, which helps matters.

In all seriousness, where’s the decision to play so slowly coming from?

Players weak mentality and lack of confidence or instructions from the bench, or both.

Poor, poor performance.

On paper, the results the last few games look fine, but in context of who we’ve played it’s not great.

exactly- the narrative now is all about the players, but are we expected to believe that they decide to play to those tactics off their own back?

it’s a combination of things going wrong, but only a blind man would try to pretend that we’ve seen any improvements at all. Plymouth was faultless, but that now looks very much like them being shite & Rooney on his last legs rather than us making any kind of progress.

He needs time but so far massively underwhelming.

The only positive from that game was Dovin looked alright and Saka played well second half.

Sakamoto quality footballer, if he's not involved in the game its cause we're not doing the right things to get him on the ball in the right positions.

I genuinely can't imagine what Lampard, after playing with Drogba all those years, must think about Simms' use of his physical attributes and general body language. Bet he doesn't know whether to laugh or cry.

On the match, we should have won but it's really showed up some of the players. I'd be ok with Sheaf being fucked off this week and BTA is such a waste of money.

Frustrating not to win it but away draw not end of world. All the elite tactician stuff can stop at least as lamaprd did make changes to formation and can't really do much about missing a sitter.

Thought sheaf was dogshit. All of first half we looked so open. And gutted for bta as would have been perfect time to shut people up but it's a bad miss no two ways about it. Dovin with some big saves

Still some positives. We did come out firing second half so I assume team talk went well and was nice to see us take off a midfielder for a striker for once.

3 wins 3 draws 2 losses under lampard. We're not going backwards that much is for sure.. Slow and steady for now. We still need to work on our passages of play and how to break teams down. Once we can get that sort of stuff to click we should hopefully be a very dangerous team.

On to the next one. PUSB

What to even say about that. Should have been 3 or 4 down by HT, come racing out the blocks second half, miss so many easy chances, nearly lose the game and just muck around till the end.

Quite why Sheaf stayed on I have no idea. So many things we’re doing that make no footballing sense. First half we yet again made a bottom 3 team look like prime Brazil with how easy it was to create chances.

Bobby Thomas had one of his worst games in a City shirt.

The problem is we went 4-2-4, but them pushed the two fullbacks high so was a 2-2-6, then there's absolutely no space, and everyones on top of each other.

I'm sorry, but I'm yet to see this team do a single thing better under Lampard. It's the same formation, the same personnel, in the same positions, making the same mistakes.

We definitely play a lot slower and safer when we're on the ball (be still my beating heart). But we're hopeless defensively and lacking ideas going forward - the same problems as the first 14 games.

The slow play forward started under the previous manager and they can’t shift the habit we need at least one in midfield who can pass it forwards.

Very odd to only make one change and then delay subs. Surely fresh legs at the back with either Binks or Kitching. Add then to get Torp off earlier.
Lucky to get a point from 10 men.
