Anyone else heard that the car parks are closed on Saturday due to another event at the Ricoh? Apparently all the bars/lounges in the hospitality areas will be closed as well.

who drives to the darts ?

and to be fair, they are almost giving tickets away for that event on groupon today, so surely it wont be 1/4 as many people as will go to the game v preston.

I remember in the last season at the Ricoh before our exile there was an event on and there were hardly any spaces to park. That's the problem with a shared facility, I guess.

All football parking for this weekend’s match against Preston North End at the Ricoh Arena will be in Car Park C.

This is due to several pre-organised events at the Ricoh Arena that are out of the club’s control and could not be moved to another date.

Supporters can either book in advance by going to the Ricoh Arena before the day of the game or pay £10 on the day. All supporters who have Car Parking Season Tickets have been sent their car parking ticket for this match in the post.

For more information contact the Ricoh Arena on 0844 873 6500 or e-mail karl.chester@ricoharena.com.

There's also PDC Challenge/Youth tours as well, they attract 128 players, + guests etc.

Both events will require lorries for setting up etc. as well

I wouldn't worry, the predicted gate for Saturday is only 8500.

Hope there is a late surge, but only 1600 tickets sold for this on top of season ticket sales, and only 300 sold in total today. Unlikely to be much of a walk-up given matchday price hike. The person I spoke to today, when asked what the ticket sales look like, simply said 'horrendous'. Could be the lowest league gate for 50 odd years apparently (Sixfields aside). This place will go into meltdown if it is. Hopefully people are all waiting til the last minute.

I don't get the shock. The club was taken away. Sadly because of that, some people find other things to do and move on (not me, but I do understand it)

I remember going to about 6 "James" concerts in the 90's, including their very last one at MEN.

Thought they were great. They them came back. Not been to see them once.

the club have a lot of work to do to win back some fans, and gain new ones.

We can moan about 8500 tickets sold but 3rd division football and the price of tickets isnt a bad show in really. We want 20k attendances but a winning team and some stability off the field would help. Imagine a ticket promotion that everytime City lose ticket prices go down £2 and it continues until they win. If they draw it goes down £1. So when we go on one of our shit runs at Christmas it will save us a few quid and we might get good attendances.
