Steve, my dad is 84. Comes up from Wales every game. He can't walk, so a car park space is needed.
Anyone can park in the Tesco car park, they have to spend atleast £25 so nip into Tesco grab some shoes and trousers and take them back the next day to any Tesco and get your money back. The official carparking pricing is a disgrace really anyway, it is more expensive than it is to park in an NCP in the city centre and why - shouldn't the pricing be the same as all other Council manged carparks around the city?
Fair play to your old fellow Snoz, thats what I call a true City fan:claping hands:
Could he manage the walk from the Tesco carpark which seems to be what alot of people do on this forum?
Probably too late for this season, but if he is coming up from Wales every other week and tops up with petrol at the Tesco garage then surely he would qualify to park on their site legally?
Torchy, it was an amicable conversation but like talking to a brick wall with the guy at Ricoh Parking. Just another sneaky and mean way of squeezing more cash out of us fans. Underhand is a word I'd use. Especially at a point when people are turning their backs on the club. The guy seemed totally indifferent to the ethics of it. I don't think many fans will bother until they are asked for a tenner when their vouchers run out. Don't forget - JPT trophy, FA Cup First Round. We may not need them but watch people complain if we do. Complain to Ricoh Parking. ( 0844-873-6514). As PR the whole club, arena etc is a walking disaster. Customer service - forget it.
How many were there from last season? Is there any mention of cup games when they advertise it?
When you think they've conveniently forgotten the free League Cup ticket given to season ticket holders from a season or two back, this mean bit of Cup ticket rip off, no wonder fans shake their heads at the petty nature of the club. Public relations doesn't enter into it.
