Good put down, but by most experienced they don't mean oldest, but the person with most appearances. To be fair by definition that probably leads more often to the person appointed captain anyway, as in recent seasons with Doyle and Willis. I take the viewpoint that captaincy is not as important as made out to be, and leaders will be leaders regardless of wearing an armband - look at McFadzean, while Kelly was captain last season.
Depends how you view 'most appearances' ie. do you include cup & sub appearances, but if you went with most League starts, as the most logical position, Kelly would still be captain, although it would be fairly close - Kelly 80, Hyam 76, Shipley 71.
