I was thinking about this last week. I think it will be Kelly. Vice Cap will be important, as Kells might not play as much.

Fadz is a leader. But Dabo the Tank Engine could do it. He’ll prob play the most mins too

Hyam would be my shout for next captain. He’s Mr. Reliable in the middle, rarely ever below a 7 like Kelly so he can demand the same of others.

I also prefer captain to be a CB or DCM. Wide players, flair players and strikers can be up and down and have a more specific role to fulfil whereas those in the middle are more team players and dictators.

Kelly and McFadz to remain skipper and vice. Next in line, I’d go with Hyam based on the current crop.

Hopefully, Hamer has got some good leadership qualities too.

Don't ever have Godden as captain; his whole game is based on timing of runs and movement. Don't want him distracted by anything else.

Dabo future captain for me, leads by example and seems pretty vocal on the pitch. Kelly is captain while he is here though.

Not sure about Hyam, we used 5 captains last season in the league ahead of him (Kelly, Fadz, Godden, Shipley, Rose)

GK’s should never be captains imo. Need someone who will cover good ground over the pitch, and can lead from the back and front, so prefer CB’s (usually very vocal), or CM.

I’d be very surprised if it was to change. Even though Kelly won’t play every game, there’s no need to change it and often causes unrest (if football manager is anything like the real thing )

That said (about the vocal bit) I agree that Hyam is a future captain despite not appearing the most vocal or Atleast not the loudest

Only guesswork but after that could be hamer, ostigard, marosi, Hyam?I

Sheaf a shout? Could be a case that Hyam simpley doesn't want to captain the team as we all seem to think he could be 4/5th choice?

You don't put loanees as captain, rule #84 in the book of managerial no-nos. Kelly if he plays, McFadz if Kelly doesn't. Scrambles and a pile-on if they are both out - need to find out who really wants it.

Doesn’t matter. The English game fixates on the issue of captaincy unlike any other nation. The Italians always give the captaincy to the most experienced player. It’s a mark of respect (and wage bonuses) very little else.

Wearing an armband doesn’t make you a leader. Not being captain doesn’t stop a leader from organising the marking at a corner or putting in an effective tackle.
