Be careful, never say never. Good choices though.

Slightly odd that Kitching has been the captain for the first 4 games while Sheaf was still at the club only for it to be switched to Grimes once the position was officially ‘available’ but the right decision either way.

I'm assuming kitching was vice which is why he was captain whilst sheaf was out. He's still Vice.

I believe that either Lats or Bidwell were vice as Lats was captain a lot under Robins (I know previous regime) and Bidwell has been captain when both he and Kitch were on the field together (both league cup games) this season under Lampard. But before you say he started and Kitch didn't....when Sheaf came on Kitch gave him the armband.

I can't remember if Allen took it from Sheaf or if it went back to Kitch but either way I agree that Kitching as vice and Grimes as skipper is a good leadership team

Completely correct choice

Got to be one of the most consistent players I've seen play for us

Sheaf was a good player.

But he wasn’t a captain. The difference Grimes has made to our midfield and our overall shape has been fantastic.

Best signing since Hamer and Gyok.

At last, a proper captain.

Great decision. Premier League here we come!

Who ever said they thought Lampard would make Grimes the Captain this year after the Bedworth forum with Lampard, fair play.

Completely the right choice and well done to Kitching for turning it 180 after looking like he was off in January.

Thought it might be Kitch, but I guess Grimes is more of a guaranteed starter, especially since Woolfenden signed.

Kitching is more of a Sargent Major than a Captain. VC is a good fit.

Frank does seem to like Kitch. I think the Woolf is stalking Bobby Thomas more than Kitching right now.

Great shout to be fair, think Grimes overall dictation of play and tempo just edges Rudonis genious…..just

I actually wonder if FL will consider a 3 at the back formation at times after signing Woolfenden.

Rightly so, Bobby has been at fault for a few goals recently. Hopefully the Woolfenden signing raises Bobby's game

I wouldn't bet against Kitch being a future City Captain. Thought he did great in that role. Really vocal. Another player who's stepped up massively under Lampard. However, the right decision. Grimes just oozes class and is a calm, intelligent player with bags of experience.

An excellent, if not surprising appointment.
Just a massive shame that we didn’t buy him seasons ago .
