Have joined today. Can't believe that there are people on here who not only support SISU but still think they are the best way forward for the club.

If they are in the majority I am on the wrong Forum.

So what is the general feeling - is this forum pro or anti-SISU?

You can't have looked very far if you think this is pro sisu.

Couldn't agree more. Anyone who thinks SISU offer a way forward is deluded. We may well be in League 2 after next year. There is only one way to get rid of SISU and that is to boycott everything to do with the Club until they clear off. I know we all want to support our team, but its not our team anymore and it won't be unless we starve them out. This is the only way that we can force them to do a deal with someone else and give us a chance to move forward. Otherwise, as Fisher says, SISU will be around for another 10-15 years trying to get their money back and it will be a miserable time for Sky Blue fans.

My Club are far more important to me than the owners. Supporters need to "get real" in terms of rent, income streams and the need for my Club to have access to ALL possible income with NO restrictions! IMHO

There are clearly SISU plants on this forum. Anyone defending SISU is obviously not a CCFC supporter!

I don't think anybody does defend them, people just try to see it from all angles.

Your right Nick, i have looked from all angles and have decided they are all a bunch of Tosspots.
If any good ever comes of this Sisu, Acl, nor the council will be entitled to any thanks. They have all added their poison to a once proud club.
F.ck em all !!

Like I said ... looks like I'm on the wrong forum. How ANYONE can defend the indefensible (SISU) is beyond me.

No one supports sisu. Many support the club. Some would be prepared to see the club go under as long as ACL thrive and prosper.

Can't believe.....

I can understand some being against ACL as ultimately the club does need the revenue streams. However, I think (hope) I'm in the large majority who want those revenue streams available to owners we trust. And in SISU I don't. I will judge ACL when new (not SISU)owners are in charge of CCFC

PUSB

P.S. I follow Hellas Verona as a second team (ever since a holiday there) and they have done a bit of a City over the last few years - down to Serie C - but back up to Serie A this year (so there's always hope - just got to get rid of the millstone around our necks - listening Tim?)

I think there is no out & out support for SISU. Some of us I think just cannot see how these masters of shenanigans can have done anything other than engineered things so they they turn out as being the only option.

Noone supports SISU per say, they support the club and these "realists" have become far too cynical to believe there's any other way for the club to move forward.

Then there are the people who think ACL are the nuts as Grendel alluded to above. Most of them just want to see tax payers money is protected, and the Ricoh doesn't become a white elephant...

Most people are in the middle to some extent or other.

I'm one of the middle ones. I can see that there have been mistakes from both sides and just want the situation resolved, however I think it's too late for SISU now though, they have alienated the fan base so much that City will never be successful with them "running the show".

The shenanigans around the strategy to move Coventry out of Coventry is just talk in my opinion. SISU are just trying to increase the value of CCFC and by presenting a strategy that would see them obtain the necessary revenue streams, it should have worked, however due to the public outcry, it will come back to bite them in the arse I think...

Without mentioning names Nick there is 1 poster who has defended them consistently throughout this sorry saga on this forum and another. They'll know who they are though ;-)

Why attack ACL? They BUILT the stadium and therefore own it and are therefore entitled to all the revenue streams. Unless someone buys it off them why should they let the club have the income from catering etc? Have SISU a) bought the stadium - answer NO b) have SISU bought the catering rights - answer NO. Would ACL be prepared to sell the stadium - maybe to the right buyers. Would ACL sell the catering rights - maybe to the right buyers. Simples. And as for this garbage I support the club whoever the owners are, then YOU are the ones prolonging this agony by keeping SISU in funds.

How about they paid for all of it. How much did SISU pay - oh yeah, £1 for the club. And all of a sudden they are £70m in debt.

usual spin and rubbish from you

The council paid towards the Ricoh and just happen to own 50% of ACL

Really have to wonder if you support CCFC...................... or having made your stand on backing sisu you now cannot turn against them.

Despite your shallow efforts to support the club before ACL it is obvious you will support sisu over CCFC and what is best for CCFC

Nope I support the football club and I see ACL, the council and SISU all culpable in this sad and sorry mess. If new owners did come in and urged supporters to join forces and force the council to hand over the management company for nothing I would back them 100%....would you?

yes if new owners come in they must reunite the club with at least 50% ownership but not for nothing

unless there is a deal that in the long term that ensures Coventry ratepayers do not loose money and that they (new owners) either pay off or take on the mortgage

Can you not see that CCFC will never ,never go forward with any hope of success or even survival sisu remain in control of this club

So you wouldn't back the club in that scenario.

This disgusting council have ripped the club off for years and yet you raise not one finger in protest.

At least we know who your real allegiance is to.

Oh do enlighten us all how you propose to 'force' the council to hand over ACL for free

I think AHT may wish to get the money they invested back as for the council they may well hand their share over in return for the mortgage being paid off

But then you would be ranting on about surely it's illegal to support a private company with tax payers money, just as sisu are trying to say it about the council mortgage.

Surely your morals can't have it both ways ?

The Tosspot returns !!!!

I've been away for a while and haven't had a chance to have my say on the whole debacle so here I go.

First of all, SISU will never receive any support nor cash from me, NOT ONE PENNY MORE.

I wish that I could whole heartedly support ACL in the matter but IMHO all councils are as bent as the proverbial 9 bob note and I really don't think that they have been at all helpful. I still don't fully understand how the council managed to offload their debts onto the taxpayer (that's us).

I'm City til I Die but, having been depressed watching us for 30 years, I'm at a point now where I can't see a light at the end of the tunnel.

The Football League won't do much cos they may have to admit to the mistake of the points deduction and our fan base just isn't strong enough to make a difference due to the state of all our own finances and tightening purse strings etc.

A full boycott really is the only option, but I fear that we will still end up with stuck with SISU.

Sorry to be so glum but I'll post some pics of my oddly shaped willy to make up for it.

No i wouldn't back the club getting the Ricoh for nothing !!
i would though if it meant that it was so tied up with covenants that the new owners could not sell it without the club and could never be borrowed against !!!!
This scenario i would think be acceptable to 99% of true supporters !!!!
The only people that would find this scenario not exceptable would be you and your friends at Sisu because they would only take the stadium in a scenario that they could mortgage it to the hilt !!!!!

This and this attitude is why we are the laughing stock of the football world.

We have the dumbest supporters in the land. The council have helped wreck the club over a decade and some just want more more and more.

So in your eyes uniting ccfc with the Ricoh in a way that protects ccfc for the future is dumb ?

Please articulate what rubbish I've spouted.

You and idiots like you need to get your head put of your backside. Accept that the club has to own the management company and has to also have the ground on a long lease with a peppercorn rent. As a supporter that has to be a primary objective for it to have any hope of success.

Remember I was the only one initially who could see thorn for the charlatan and incompetent fool that he was.

I accept you are probably not the brightest spark but get some facts and argue them rather than throw out aimless insults.
